Begotten sons and Joint-heirs with Christ

"Mark 16:15 preach the gospel to every creature. Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe (do) all things whatsoever I (Jesus Christ) have commanded: Revelation 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega .. 14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, .. they .. have right to the tree of life, and .. enter .. the city."

Become begotten sons and Joint-heirs with Jesus Christ

"Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:--- 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." God and man are of the same image. That is, God should look like us. But God is a Spirit and we are from the dust of the earth, which is flesh. "John 4:24 God is a Spirit:-- Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground," Spirit and flesh are not of the same image. So, let us try another venue. At our birth, we are born of the flesh and the spiritual birth has to take place later. Most of the people may meet death without even being born again which is born of the spirit. "John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God... 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit." But everybody is born with a soul, which is our person. This person is made in the image of the person of God. "Jeremiah 5:9,29 --- shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this? Matthew 12:18 --- in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, --- Hebrews 10:38 --- if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him." God's person is his soul. We are also persons, which are souls. You and I are made in the image of God, because of our souls. But we are not in the image of his omni-power Spirit, but if we are born again, then we will have a spirit. But, we cannot do what the omni-power Spirit can do. If God's Spirit is as the sun, our spirit is as a candle. Our spirit has the likeness, but not the image of God. But, our soul is created in the image of God's soul. God is righteous and holy. This is the attribute of the Soul of God. And so, God wants us to live a holy righteous perfect life, by our soul. So, God gives us the holy spirit to make our soul as a living soul.

1. We need the Spirit of God and His Power for Victory

God requires from the spiritual person that he brings the flesh body into subjection to the spirit body so that the flesh body may become a vessel of God to dwell, rather than to be used for the sensual sin. We know that God has blessed the marriage and the relationship. But immorality is sin. So, God wants us to keep ourselves pure  from all immoral works of the flesh. For a person who does not have the spirit man, this is nothing but killing himself and so he will not understand this spiritual concept. But the Holy Ghost, through the spirit man, will impart supernatural power into the person, so that victory can be achieved with joy over the world and the flesh. But for a person without the spirit man, it is agony and failure. "1 Corinthians 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." So if you do not have the spirit man, ask God very earnestly, but with obedience. If you have received the spirit man, he will draw you towards the Holy Ghost, who is God, and you will shun the fleshly sin. If you are sincere with the spirit man, and if you desire to receive the Holy Ghost, ask God and he will give you the Holy Ghost to guide you. If you continue to obey the Holy Ghost, he will dwell in your body. Then your body will become the temple of the Holy Ghost. Here, a special note: Christians think that the name 'holy spirit' is referred to the third person of God. Holy Spirit may refers to the Holy Ghost also since the Holy Ghost is holy. But the name 'holy spirit' refers to the spirit of man, which God gives to man to keep him holy. But the name, 'Holy Ghost' refers to the third person of God. 2. God gives the Holy Ghost and Power if You Obey Him

A. 'Jesus is in my heart'- is a Common Christian Statement (cliché).

'Jesus is in my heart' is a Christian cliché to say it without any victory over sins. In real Christian life, the power of God is involved. "John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." If we receive Jesus Christ as our Lord, that is to submit ourselves as servants to him, then God gives us power to become the sons of God. So it is up to us to receive his power and to use it to become the sons of God. But if we love the flesh and the world and thus reject Jesus Christ, we will have no power.

B. Spirit of man (holy spirit) is the life of the soul, as the blood is the life of the body

We are all in the body made out of flesh. We are one with the pleasures and sufferings of our body. To be detached from this reality is impossible. Does Jesus Christ requires us to deny this reality? No! But, Jesus Christ will give the spirit of man for spiritual life, which is as real as the physical life. "John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit." Natural birth and the spiritual birth of a person are two separate happenings. A complete person has a body, a soul and a spirit. An animal is born with a body. A human is born with a body and a soul. But he/she shall be born again as Jesus Christ gives the spirit of man (holy spirit). As the physical birth is real, the spiritual birth is also real. This birth happens after the conviction and the true repentance of sins. As the blood is the life of the body, the spirit of man (holy spirit) is the life of our soul. If we do not have the spirit of man, God considers us as dead persons, or as dead souls. So, receiving the spirit of man (holy spirit) is our spirit birth, it is born again, it is born of God, it is the life of the soul, etc. For more details, click on this link: 'born again'.

C. The Holy Ghost may Baptize, Lead, Give Power and Indwell.

A repented person will cry out to God for the holy spirit (spirit of man), as a child cry out to the father. "Luke 11:13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?" Those who are lead of the Holy Spirit (spirit of man) will be the children of God, and the Holy Ghost will guide the children and if they obey God in all things. The Holy Ghost, who is also called as the Spirit of Truth, may abide in them. "John 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you." That is, God gives the Holy Ghost to his obedient children for abiding. "Acts 5:32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him."

D. Caught up to Heaven and become Joint-heirs with Jesus Christ

The indwelling of the Holy Ghost is the condition for the glorified resurrection. And as sons you will be joint-heir with Jesus Christ. "Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. 10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you." Now the victory is yours through your obedience to the doctrine of God, by the power and abiding of the Holy Ghost. Now you will have victory with joy.

The indwelling Holy Ghost, who is God, shall mortify the sinful deeds of the flesh body and shall keep the person from sin. Thus we will become the children of God and become joint-heirs with Christ. "Romans 8:12 ... we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. 13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together."

3. Jesus Christ is the King of kings, Lord of lords and God of gods

When 'God the Word' became the man Jesus, he humbled himself and obeyed God even unto the cursed death on the cross. So, God the Father raised him up from the death and raised his name above every name on earth, in hell and in heaven. "Acts 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ." God has made him Lord and Christ and so, he is now Lord Jesus Christ. "Philippians 2:5 ---, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." So, Lord Jesus Christ is above all in Earth, in hell and in heaven. God the Father and the Holy Ghost anointed Jesus as God. "Hebrews 1:8 unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever:.. 9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows." So, the Lord Jesus Christ is God. "Revelation 17:14 ... he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful." So, Jesus Christ became the Lord of lords and the King of kings. "Psalm 136:2 O give thanks unto the God of gods: for his mercy endureth for ever. 3 O give thanks to the Lord of lords: for his mercy endureth for ever." So, Jesus Christ is God of gods. Those who will follow Jesus Christ and overcome will inherit all things. "Revelation 21:7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son." So, let us all serve the Lord Jesus Christ, who will be the only King of kings, Lord of lords and God of gods and give all the glory to God.

4. Begotten of God keep themselves

On the day of the coming of the Lord, the sons of God will be transformed to such a glory which will be equal to the same glory as of the Lord Jesus Christ. Many Christians claim that when the trumpet sounds they will fly in the sky with him. But just believing that cliché will not help them to be caught up in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. The following verses gives the test to find who are these sons of God who will be caught up with Jesus Christ. "1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. 3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure." The sons of God will purify themselves as Jesus Christ was pure, when he was a Man. "1 John 5:18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not." The true genuine 'sons of God' will receive his grace, which is God's very presence and power. By this grace, they will overcome the wicked one by keeping themselves from committing any sin. They will be declared as the begotten sons of God and they will sit on his throne to rule with the Lord Jesus Christ. "Romans 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ;" You can be a joint-heir with Jesus Christ, if you strive for it. "Luke 12:32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom."

5. Can we become Begotten and inherit His kingdom?

"Hebrews 2:10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings." Sons in glory are begotten sons. Since this is the plan of God to bring many sons to glory through Jesus Christ, he taught his disciples to call God as the Father, even before it happens. Now, God is the Father for all those who have the hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ. "1 Peter 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time." So, on the last day, God may beget us. But the process begins as we live in the world. God gives commandments to people and chooses godly people, who obey him, as sons and daughters. He then adopts them and declares them as begotten sons at the end. "2 Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty." So, if we separate ourselves from sin, God will beget us. "Romans 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; 29 he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren." We will be joint-heirs with Jesus Christ, if we conform ourselves to Jesus Christ.
