"Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe (do) all things whatsoever I (Jesus Christ) have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.2 Corinthians 7:1 ... dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God."
I am a retired pastor of
the Church of God (Tennessee).
My name is Isaac Livingston. I am from Neyyoor India.
God is three Souls in one Spirit. 'Born again' is not a new phrase to Christians. If we know where our church is, if we know how to read the Bible, sing a worship song, say a slogan of our church, repeat a cliché, then we are considered born again. But this is not born again according to Jesus Christ. He says in John 3:"3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again." It is our birth. It is not what we do. It is what had happened to us. It happens twice. First, it is born of the flesh and second, it is born of the Spirit. Since it is the second birth and so it is born AGAIN.
Primarily we, the humans, are souls. A soul is given a flesh body (tabernacle) to live in, and it is the birth. This birth is a process, even though we only consider only a day of birth and previous to that, we think it is a fetus. But, at conception, a soul is given a flesh body. There is a process of growth and maturity of the body. Then only the birth, even though we consider only the day of birth. But without growth, there will be no birth. So, birth also includes the whole process of growth. Flesh body came from the dust of the earth, which will return to earth, on the last day. "Ecclesiastics 12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it." This says that God may give a spirit also to be an eternal body for the soul in heaven, when the flesh body goes to the earth. If God does not give this spirit, the soul will be found naked, and will be thrown to hell. "2 Corinthians 5:1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: 3 If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. ... 5 God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit." In the same way that God has given a tiny flesh body to the soul, and guided the body grow to the maturity to be born as a baby, God also gives a tiny spirit, as earnest spirit so that it may grow to the maturity of Jesus Christ and to be glorified to look the same as Jesus Christ at the rapture, to be born into heaven as begotten sons of God, and this growth is a process. "Ephesians 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: 1 John 3:2 but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; ..." So, our souls has received flesh and was born with flesh. So also, our souls may receive a spirit that is holy and is from God, and this is called born of the spirit or born again. And this spirit is the holy spirit and it is also called spirit of man. If you like to study the details, I have given a few links below for your study. I hope and pray that this may be of help to you.
