1. If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above.

In the first century, apostles and preachers were preaching Jesus and his gospel for the people to know about Christ. In our time, Jesus Christ and the gospel are known all over the world, several versions of bibles are printed, and millions of books are published. But despite the popularity, preachings are empty vocabulary, and meaningless words of useless theology. They say God is holy, but they have no purity, not even morality is exhibited in their lives. So, the situation is pathetic. But the problem has begun even in the first century. So, apostle Paul challenges Christians. "Colossians 3:1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth." He tells them to live, to inherit the kingdom in heaven, rather than to live a safe good life on earth. "Romans 8:17 ...; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. 18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us." God's word says that if we suffer for the name of Christ, we will be glorified in heaven. So, he says rather than seeking the things on earth, set your affections on heaven. "3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God." That is, if we mortify the deeds of the body by the Spirit, we will be as dead to the earth, but will be living with Jesus Christ. "4 says When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory." Apostle John also says the same thing. "1 John 3:2 ...: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is." So, we will be with Jesus Christ in heaven.

2. Flesh commits sin, Spirit mortifies sinning, Soul must obey God to live.

If we are born again, we are three-part persons with soul, body, and spirit. Actually, we are souls; body and spirit are given to us for our souls to live in, and our souls will continue to live even after our bodies die. We are born with the flesh body. When we are born of the spirit, God gives us the spirit body also, and so, we are born again. So, the souls have two bodies to live in; one is body of flesh, and the other is body of spirit. The natural desire of the flesh is to live for the pleasures in this world, and the natural desire of the spirit is to please God and to live in heaven. So, their desires are opposite. Further, we, the souls, have our own desire also. "5 says, Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:" It also tells us what the deeds of the body are. Romans 8:13 also tells us to mortify the deeds of the flesh using the Spirit body. "6 says, For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:" If we do not obey God, God's wrath will be on us. But those who are born of the Spirit, should live in the Spirit, and they will not continue to live in sin. "7 In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them." Previous to being born again, they lived for the flesh, but now they live for the spirit. The soul, that is we, must do a few things on our own, beyond mortifying the deeds of the body by the spirit. What are they? "8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. 9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;" They are to put off anger, wrath, malice, filthy communication, and lies. So, both the spirit and Soul have their part to do, and then, they will go to heaven and inherit the kingdom of God lord Jesus Christ.

3. Abolished in his flesh, the law of commandments contained in ordinances.

"10. And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:" That is, the born-again man knows what God wants him to do, since he has the spirit that God has created for this purpose. Apostle Paul says that the saints in Colosse, have put on this man on them; and so, they will live a righteous life. "11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all." First of all, Jesus Christ has reconciled all people as one, when he died on his cross. It is in "Ephesians 2:15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; 16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:" So, God is not a respecter of persons, whether Christians or non-Christians, and Jesus Christ has crucified all laws of ceremonies and rituals. Here, it is the end of all old testament laws for salvation. But false preachers will not let it go, in order to pick up their pet portions to preach false doctrine to confuse Christians. They are rebellious fleshly people. The wrath of God will be upon them. The next three verses say how we should live our lives to inherit heaven. These are doctrines of God in new testament. "12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; 13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. 14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness." We will do the list of things from here, if we are the elect of God. If we do them, it will be proof that we are the elect, holy and beloved. "Even as Christ forgave you, so you also do" is a phrase even the enemies of God put it on us to trick us to make us guilty of not forgiving filthy criminals. But remember that Jesus Christ will not forgive a criminal unless he repents, asks forgiveness, and quits his sin. So, tell the devil that the criminal must repent, ask forgiveness, and quit doing such crime. Here, charity means not just giving your stuff away, but to do the things for salvation of souls.

4. Let the Word of Christ dwell in you in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing.

"15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful." Peace is a common word and worldly preachers my preach it for hours. So, don't run with them. Remember the peace of God in two ways, and it goes with reconciling. God will have peace with all people of the world as one group for salvation. God will not reject anybody based on country, religion, or such; so, he has peace with all. Yet he will reject all evil people and he do not want them to be saved. God gives his spirit to the good-natured but sinning people, converts them from their sins, and then he will have peace with them. So, we must remember the peace of God in the proper perspective. "16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him." Christians consider the whole bible as the word of God. That is okay, yet what God reveals to you is what you get. Those who are guided by fake spirits are and will be lost. If we take the gospel and commandments preached by Jesus Christ, we will not go wrong. Rest of the verses are simple to understand, and it means what it says. Accept the doctrines of Jesus Christ and of the apostles that are included in it.

5. Submit to husbands, love wives, obey parents, servants and masters be honest.

"18 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord. 19 Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them. 20 Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord. 21 Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged." The gospel and the doctrine of Jesus Christ are not some information about how Jesus lived as a man. It is how we must live our life in such a manner so that we may inherit the kingdom of God in heaven. It begins with advice to husbands, wives, fathers, mothers, and children. So, we will live worthy to inherit heaven as we live here. The subject is on Ephesians 5:22-33, which is about the family and Jesus Christ. Please refer the explanation from this link: "Family and Christ". Next, we work for our living, and so, it is also to employees and employers. "22 Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God: 23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; 24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ. 25 But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons." This is also very simple instructions. Besides the family, we spent most our time on the workplace. So, how we live there is also very important for our eternal life and inheritance in heaven. The same topic is in Ephesians 6:5-9 also. I taught that recently and let me give the link of that study so that you may also refer. Links: "Employee and Employers", and "New Earth." So, if we live our daily life earnestly with good conscience, we will be in heaven. If we obey Jesus Christ honestly, we will become sons of God and inherit the kingdom of God.

What is the true gospel and what are false gospels?

Matthew 28:20, & Mark 16:15. Jesus Christ preached his commandments to obey, as his Gospel; it is the true Gospel to inherit Eternal life. Genesis 3:1-4 & 2 Corinth 11:2-4. But Preachers, who are Serpents of Satan, preach the life of man Jesus just to believe, but not to live as a chaste virgin, as the gospel; it is another gospel, which cannot and will not give Eternal life.

What will the true Gospel do?

The true gospel will convert evil people to do good and thereby they will inherit the kingdom in heaven. John 3:19-21 say that people are two kinds, evil and true. Evil doers will not come to the Light, who is God; but people of truth come to God for their deeds to be made manifest. We have good and evil people by our standard of our society or culture. These evil people may be converted to be doers of truth by the power of God, and they may inherit the kingdom of God in heaven.
