The laws of Moses and the Ten Commandments will not apply to Gentile Christians according to Acts chapter 15. But Jesus Christ has revised the Ten Commandments and it becomes the Commandments of Jesus Christ. This is also the gospel of Jesus Christ. We must obey them for eternal life.

The topic is the commandments, laws and the gospel of God. God wrote 10 commandments in stone tablets and handed over to Moses. God narrated the laws to Moses and he wrote them. It is known as the laws of Moses. It describes how Israel should live, worship at temple, deal with others, wage wars, government, community, ethics, etc. These laws and commandments were given to Israel, but not to gentiles. Acts 15 discussed this and decided that gentiles do not have to follow either the laws of Moses or the 10 commandments. But, Jesus Christ has upgraded the 10 commandments and gave them to church and these are called the commandments of Jesus Christ or the doctrine of Jesus Christ. His apostle's followed the same doctrine and so, it is called the apostle's doctrine. Acts 2:42 says, those who repented and joined the church continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship. We must preach repentance every where a/c Acts 17:30 and teach the commandments of Jesus Christ in churches as gospel according to mark 16:15&16, Matthew 28:18-20 & Acts 2:42. Both Gentiles and Jews have to obey these Commandments if they are in church. Now, let us see how our Lord Jesus Christ revised the OT commandments into his commandments. Let us study them.

1st Commandment. Deuteronomy 5:6-7. I am the LORD thy God. Thou shalt have none other gods before me. As Christians, we think that we do well since we have no other gods. But 2 Thessalonians 2:4 Satan opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. That is, Satan shows himself as Jesus Christ and deceives Christians right in the churches. This is what the scripture says. So, Christians may be worshiping Satan thinking that they worship Jesus Christ. Matthew 24:24 Jesus Christ says there shall arise false Christs, ...they shall deceive the very elect. 2 Corinthians 11:4 if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, etc. So fake or counterfeit Jesus Christ is already here. We may be thinking that we worship the true Jesus Christ, but he may not be the true Jesus Christ at all. How to find whether the Jesus Christ we worship is real or is he fake? This problem is not a small problem, but a big problem and nobody wants to address this problem. But, if you do not care, you may be already worshiping a false Jesus Christ and your eternal life is in jeopardy. So, let us find it out. The Lord Jesus Christ is our Lord that means he is our master according to Acts 2:36. He is God according to Hebrews 1:8&9. That is, he is no more a man, but he is God in Spirit and he is Omnipresent. Acts 3:26 says God the Father sent Jesus Christ to the world to turn us away from sins and iniquities. He is here with us now. Romans 14:11 & Philippians 2:10 say, at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, things in earth, and things under the earth. God the Father requires supreme worship to Jesus Christ. Notice these two things. He will turn you away from iniquities even sins, and he demands supreme worship. If your Jesus Christ serves you rather than being your God and master, and if your Jesus Christ tells you that he will take care of your sins rather than telling you to turn away from sins, then your Jesus Christ is a fake Jesus Christ, who is the deceiver, most possibly he is Satan shows himself as Jesus Christ and receives your worship a/c to 2 Thessalonians 2:4. If you are worshiping the fake Jesus Christ now, most of you will hate me for exposing this fake Jesus. But, it is the truth of the Bible. Our Lord Jesus Christ is omnipotent God, who created everything that exist according to John 1:3&10, Ephesians 3:9, Colossians 1:16&17, Hebrews 1:2&10, and many other scriptures. He is still the same. Don't treat him as a cosmic Gene, who works under the command of your favorite preacher. Revelation 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. Remember that we are created for him. If we think that God exists for our benefits rather than to think that God created us for his pleasure, we are as Nicolaitanes, who Jesus Christ hates. Revelation 2:6&15 says them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, which thing I hate. Those preachers who preach God exists to do us favor rather than to preach that we are created for the pleasure for God, they preach the doctrine of Nicolaitanes, which Jesus Christ hates. Jesus Christ is God. and he demands our worship and obedience. If you do not obey him, he will not beg you or plead you. But, his wrath will be upon you. 1st commandment still says that we shall have none other gods except our God and Lord.

2nd Commandment. Deuteronomy 5:8-9. Thou shalt not make thee any graven image. Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God. Catholics make images and bow down to them. 1 Corinthians 10:7 says party lovers are idolaters. Colossians 3:5 says covetousness is idolatry. So, lot of people are in trouble.

3rd Commandment. Deuteronomy 5:11. Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain: for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. It means, not only we should not curse, but we should not use his name without a valid reason. If we do, God will surely punish us. But Christians brake this commandment all the time. They use the name Jesus Christ as if he is a friend, brother or close buddy. They use his name as cheap as it can be. They are guilty before God.

4th Commandment. Deuteronomy 5:12 Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee. Here, Sabbath day is the 7th day of the week, which is Saturday. But there are other Sabbath days also. The commandment says to sanctify the Sabbath day. How to sanctify the Sabbath day? Luke 23:56 they rested the sabbath day according to the commandment. It says, to sanctify the Sabbath day is to take rest. Let us study this from the OT with details. Deuteronomy 5:15 remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the LORD thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the LORD thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day. Notice the 4th commandment is custom made for Israels since they suffered slavery under Egypt working all days without rest. So, it does not apply to Gentiles, whose forefathers were never slaves in Egypt. 13 Six days thou shalt labour, and do all thy work. 14 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou. So, you and your household, including your servants, will work six days and take a mandatory rest on the Sabbath day, which is the 7th day that is Saturday. But, the 7th day Adventists pervert the 4th commandment and tell Gentiles that they must not worship God on Sundays, but they must worship God on Saturdays only. No, we can worship God on any day, at any time and whenever we wanted. Sabbath day is not about worship, but to take complete rest from physical work. Further it was given to the Jews, but not to Gentiles. However, Jesus and his disciples broke Sabbath several times according to Matthew 12:10-13, Mark 2:23-28, Mark 3:4-6, Luke 6:9-11, Luke 13:10-16, Luke 14:1-4, John 5:6-11, 16-18, & John 9:13-16. Further, Matthew 12:8 says the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day. As the Lord of the Sabbath, Jesus Christ revised the Sabbath rest and proclaimed to do good works on Sabbath days. So, Sabbath is no more a rest day according to Mark 3:4-6 & Luke 6:9-11. Jesus Christ took away physical rest, but he gave his own rest. Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Hebrew 4 explains it. So, the 4th commandment is updated in the NT changing physical rest to spiritual rest that is in Christ Jesus. Hebrews 4:11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. So, let us enter into this rest of Jesus Christ.

5th Commandment. Deuteronomy 5:16. Honour thy father and thy mother. This is not a difficult commandment to understand. Children must honor their parents. When they get married the man should leave father and mother and shall cleave to his wife as one family a/c Matt 19:5 & Mark 10:7. But in the old age of the parents the children should take care of them. But if a son gave himself for the work of the Lord, let the other sons take the responsibility of the parents according to Matthew 8:22, Luke 9:60, & Matthew 12:47-49. This commandment has a promise.

6th Commandment. Deuteronomy 5:17. Thou shalt not kill. Jesus Christ says in Matthew 5:21 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: 22 But I say unto you, (Here Jesus Christ is revising the commandment) whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: many people omit the phrase 'without a cause' that gives an exemption here and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. Verse 23&24 says, we must first reconcile with the brother and then come to God for his forgiveness of this sin, if we did it without a cause.

7th Commandment. Deuteronomy 5:18. Neither shalt thou commit adultery. Jesus Christ says in Matthew 5:27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: 28 But I say unto you, (See, Jesus Christ is revising the commandment) That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. He says, if we desire to commit, God counts it as if we have already committed adultery in our hearts. In verse 29&30, Jesus Christ explains it with very serious and severe examples.

8th Commandment. Deuteronomy 5:19. Neither shalt thou steal. Ephesians 4:28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, etc. New Testament agrees with it.

9th Commandment. Deuteronomy 5:20. Neither shalt thou bear false witness against thy neighbour. False witness is false testimony, scandal, gossip, rumor, etc. I know of a few people who go to church regularly just to do this. They wreck the life of many. It is really very sad.

10th Commandment. Deuteronomy 5:21. Neither shalt thou covet. This is the short version. Let us look at the complete verse. Neither shalt thou desire thy neighbour's wife, neither shalt thou covet thy neighbour's house, his field, or his manservant, or his maidservant, his ox, or his ass, or any thing that is thy neighbour's. So, covetousness is to desire the thing belong to someone else. Don't desire the wife of someone else, but marry your own. Don't desire anything belong to others. But buy your own things. Ephesians 5:3 says covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; That is, if you are looking forward to become a child of God, you should not have a trace of covetousness in you. Now let us see the commandments of Jesus Christ that was upgraded from the old ten commandments.

1st Commandment was I am the LORD thy God. Thou shalt have none other gods before me. A caution is added. Satan shows himself as a loving Jesus Christ who is for you and deceives many. But if we know that we are created for Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ was not created for us, we will worship Jesus Christ as our God and Lord, who is our master and the supreme. Then we will not be deceived.

2nd Commandment was Thou shalt not make thee any graven image. Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: Party loving and covetousness are also added as equivalent to idolatry.

3rd Commandment was Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain: Christians should not use the name of Jesus Christ cheaply. They must reverence Jesus Christ as Lord and God.

4th Commandment was Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it. Sanctify Sabbath is to take a mandatory physical rest. Jesus Christ upgraded the physical rest, to enter into the rest in Jesus Christ.

5th Commandment was Honour thy father and thy mother. Yes, obey them until you are married, but take care of them in their old age.

6th Commandment was Thou shalt not kill. It is upgraded as we shall not get angry at our brother or call him names without a godly cause. If we do reconcile with the brother and come to God for forgiveness.

7th Commandment was Neither shalt thou commit adultery. This is upgraded as we must not even desire to commit adultery.

8th Commandment was Neither shalt thou steal. It remains the same.

9th Commandment was Neither shalt thou bear false witness against thy neighbour. This commandment also remains the same.

10th Commandment was Neither shalt thou covet. It is also the same.

The commandments of Jesus Christ is lot more harder to obey since it is intensified version of the OT 10 commandments. But John 1:17 says the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. Moses just gave the law and asked people to obey. But Jesus Christ added truth to the law, and gives it with his grace. Matthew 19:25 When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved? 26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. Grace is the power of God that makes it possible for us to obey the commandments of Jesus Christ even though it is hard.

The bible calls this as the commandments of the Lord Jesus Christ. Acts 1:2 after that he Jesus Christ through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen: That is, Jesus Christ gives the commandments through the Holy Ghost. In John 12:49 Jesus says I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. That is, God the Father is revising the commandments. So, even though it is called the commandments of Jesus Christ, God the Father and the Holy Ghost were together involved in revising the commandments. These are also called the doctrines of Jesus Christ and even as apostles' doctrine. Satan also made many doctrines. All of them are false. So, we must reject every doctrine except the doctrine of Jesus Christ and of the apostles a/c to Mark 7:7-9, Col 2:22, Titus 1:14. Churches and theologians make doctrines. Truly, Satan is the one who is behind them and he is behind every doctrine. So, reject them all. What all we need is the doctrine of God.

John 12:50 Jesus Christ says, I know that his commandment is life everlasting: Matthew 19:17 Jesus Christ said but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. Revelation 22:14 Jesus Christ says Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. Jesus says, we must keep these commandments in order to enter heaven.

These 10 commandments are abridged to 2. First 3 commandments are abridged as thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and the last 6 commandments as love thy neighbor as thyself. Jesus Christ gives his rest as we fulfill these two. Jesus said in Matthew 22:40 On these 2 commandments hang all the law and the prophets. But, preachers shortened these 2 commandments further and call the 1st com as love God and the 2nd Commandment as love men. It appears to be just innocent and convenient. But, this is proved to be very dangerous deceptive weapon in the hands of the devil. Example: 1st Commandment is to love God. It is taken for granted that we all love God, no Christian will hate God and so the 1st Commandment is considered fulfilled. So, we don't have to be concerned with it. It is as equal to being void. But, let us look at the commandment. Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind. Most Christians will fall short in this commandment. But we all appeared to have fulfilled 'love God' version. So this is deception. We must not fall into such traps. However, this commandment has high sounding words like with all thy heart, soul, strength and mind. What does it mean? There are many scriptures to explain this. Let us see 3 of them. John 14:15 Jesus Christ says If ye love me, keep my commandments. So, if you love God intensely, obey him intensely. Verse 21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. So, those who obey his commandments are the one who love God. 1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. Here we see that if we love God, we will not love the world and the lusts there of. So, if we love God and if we will not love the world, then we will obey God. 1st Commandment is to love God with our obedience.

The 2nd Commandment is love men. False preachers equate this to charitable fund raising enterprises & to the ideology of humanism. It is exploitation and deception. Romans 13:9 Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. The details and the abbreviated commandment are here. The abstract summary is given in verse 10. It says, Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. That is, you will not do evil to yourself and so also don't do evil to others. It is the fulfillment. It does not say that you are your brother's keeper. They pull out some other verses from some other context, twist the scriptures to manipulate and preach what they want to preach. Don't allow the devil to interpret scriptures for you.

One other thing. Many places in the Bible, God has commandments, laws, rebukes, reprimands, warnings, curses, etc for different groups. It is important to find which one is for who. Preachers make a mess out of these things. They will pick up the blessings of Abraham and David and pronounce them on people like Judas Iscariot. They will describe the worst immoral person as the bride of Christ. Those are big lies and they are deceptions. We must be careful about this when we listen to the sermons of preachers. Let me give you an example of another kind of deception from false preachers. John 13:34 Jesus says to his disciple A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. This is custom made to his disciples. See the next verse 35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. He tells his disciples to love each other so that others may see it and know that these people are true followers of Christ. But false preachers bring this verse and say that we must love everybody including false preachers and the world of sinners. But God says neither to have friendship nor fellowship with the world through many scriptures. We cannot use God's word and his promises to fit anybody. Mostly they apply only to certain people depending on the conditions. Since I have said this, let me add one more point. The Bible says that the people of the world are sinners. God's wrath is upon them and we must warn them about the wrath to come and call them to repentance. If they repent, then teach them Jesus Christ and his commandments in a church. But, most street preachers bargain the love of God with them. Jesus Christ says in Matthew 7:6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you. This is what is happening. I have much appreciation for the street preachers. They are zealous and take much risk. But in that process, they are selling a cheap fake gospel that is not true. It may be politically correct to do so, but it is not correct a/c to God.

Another important fact in the Bible is this. We must preach Jesus Christ and we must preach the gospel that Jesus Christ preached. But preachers are deceived by Satan and they preach Jesus Christ and call this as the gospel. But there is a difference. Preaching Jesus Christ is to preach what all Jesus Christ has done for the sins of the whole world. Preaching the gospel is to preach what you and I must do in response to what Jesus Christ has done for our salvation and for our inheritance in heaven. If they just preach what Jesus Christ has done and tell us to believe what Jesus Christ is done, they are not preaching the gospel that Jesus Christ has preached. By doing this they bury the gospel and put it away so that people may not hear it. It is the crooked deceptive trick of the devil to destroy the gospel. Mark 16:15&16 and Matt 28:18-20 says that the gospel is: to preach the commandments of Jesus Christ to people so that they may obey and inherit his kingdom. I have two videos on this subject and so I am not explaining it here. The names of the videos are 1. Gospel by Jesus is to Obey His Commands & to inherit his Kingdom- it is 31 min & 2. Gospel is to obey Him to inherit His kingdom- it is 10 min. Please listen to one of them if you desire to study the gospel.

Some preachers say, there are more than 600 commandments in the NT and we cannot obey them all. We must ignore such statements. Even if there are 6000 commandments, they will all fit under the ten commandments of Jesus Christ. So let us obey our Lord Jesus Christ.

Let me summarize what I have said so far. God gave Moses the ten commandments in stone tablets. God narrated laws to Moses. They were given to Israel, but not to Gentiles according to Acts chap 15. The 10 commandments were revised by Lord Jesus Christ. This is called the commandments of Jesus Christ. It is also the doctrine of Jesus Christ and Apostle's doctrine. We must obey them in order to inherit eternal life. There are many doctrines made by churches and theologians. We must reject them all since they are all false doctrines. The biggest deception in Christianity is that they preach Jesus Christ and call this as his gospel, instead of preaching his gospel. The gospel of Jesus Christ is to obey his commandments in order to inherit his kingdom.

What is the true gospel and what are false gospels?

Matthew 28:20, & Mark 16:15. Jesus Christ preached his commandments to obey, as his Gospel; it is the true Gospel to inherit Eternal life. Genesis 3:1-4 & 2 Corinth 11:2-4. But Preachers, who are Serpents of Satan, preach the life of man Jesus just to believe, but not to live as a chaste virgin, as the gospel; it is another gospel, which cannot and will not give Eternal life.

What will the true Gospel do?

The true gospel will convert evil people to do good and thereby they will inherit the kingdom in heaven. John 3:19-21 say that people are two kinds, evil and true. Evil doers will not come to the Light, who is God; but people of truth come to God for their deeds to be made manifest. We have good and evil people by our standard of our society or culture. These evil people may be converted to be doers of truth by the power of God, and they may inherit the kingdom of God in heaven.
