30. Four Second Comings of Jesus Christ

"Mark 16:15 preach the gospel to every creature. Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe (do) all things whatsoever I (Jesus Christ) have commanded: Revelation 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega .. 14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, .. they .. have right to the tree of life, and .. enter .. the city."

Jesus Christ will come to do four main events and we refer all of them as "second coming." 1: to let you hear his voice, 2: to rapture his church, 3: to reign in the Millennium, and 4: to end the world, give a new earth and new heavens. So, there are four "second comings".

The four events are: 1. Jesus Christ has already come, soon after his resurrection, to turn away every one of his people from their iniquities. 2. He will come with his people and will catch up the rest. 3. He will come and establish his Millennium reign. 4. He will come, destroy this world, create new earth and new heaven. Anyone of these major events is called the second coming of Jesus Christ. Rapture and the end of the world are very common subjects among evangelical Christians.

1. Jesus Christ is already here. Preachers say that he may come any time, without knowing that he has already come. Acts 3:26 God having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities. Matthew 28:20 Jesus Christ tells to teach them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. As God (omnipresent), Jesus Christ is in heaven and on earth. Second Coming of Jesus is here, turning us from our iniquities, To day if ye will hear his voice, Harden not your hearts. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. If he has not visited you and turned you away from your sins yet, he may visit your soul any day. This is his second coming to you. If you allow him to turn you from iniquities, he will come in you. Instead, if you harden your heart and do not allow him to turn you from iniquities, he will close the door and will reject you never to accept you again.  Jesus Christ may come anytime to a sinner, he/she may open the door of the soul to let him in, OR Jesus Christ will reject the sinner for eternity, and this will be the eternal verdict to the sinner according to, Hebrews 3:7-18, Matthew 24:44-51, 1 Thessalonians 5:2-6, Matthew 25:1-13 & Luke 13:23-25.

2. Jesus Christ will come to raise and rapture his people. "1 Thessalonians 4:14 them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 16 the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then, we which are alive and remain shall be caught up with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:" So, Jesus Christ will raise and rapture them who are in him. But, the tragedy is, most Christians are taught to say that they are in Jesus Christ, while they are in sin. But no sin can enter Jesus Christ in heavenly places. If we are in sin, we are not in Jesus Christ. It is a deception to say we are in Jesus Christ while we are in sin. However he is doing his work in his people now.  Ephesians 5:27 says Jesus Christ "might present to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish." So, Jesus Christ is converting them to be holy, spotless, without any blemish for himself. Ephesians 2:6 he "hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:" That is, Jesus Christ pulls them out of sin and has their spirits seated in himself in heaven. As they die, they will sleep in him. Jesus Christ has been doing this---work for the last 2000 years.

3. Jesus Christ will establish the Millennium reign. Jews were attacked so many times and challenged even now that they will be eradicated from the face of the earth. Millennium is not the end time, however it will not be in the near future. But, in  a short distant future, Jews (Israel) will be crushed almost to non existence. At that time they will realize that Jesus Christ is the Messiah and repent for what the Jews have done to him. They will call Jesus Christ to save them, since he is their Messiah. "Zechariah 12:10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn." At that time Jesus Christ will come and reign as their Messiah for a thousand years. This is called the Millennium reign. One more very important event at this time is this: Satan will be bound during this time and then he will be freed at the end of the Millennium.

4. The fourth and the last event of the Second Coming is the end of the world. Satan will be bound in the bottomless pit for 1000 years and he will be loosed as in Revelation 20:1-3. With his influence, the 7 heads and 10 horns will begin to rule. Most Bible teachers say that the 7 heads ruler is Pope and the Catholic Church. No, it is not. The rule will not even start until Satan comes out of the bottomless pit. Almost 800 years into their reign, Jesus Christ will destroy this world and make all things new. "2 Peter 3:10 the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up." That is, Jesus Christ will destroy this world in total surprise.
