'The Most High' God has become 'God the Father'

"Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe (do) all things whatsoever I (Jesus Christ) have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. 2 Corinthians 7:1 ... dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God."

'The Most High' God has become 'God the Father'

The most high God raised Jesus from death and declared him as his begotten Son. By the same declaration the most high God became the Father to the Lord Jesus Christ ("Hebrew 1:5 Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?" ). Now God the Father says that if we live according to the word of truth, that is, according to the commandments of Jesus Christ, he will beget us also as his sons ("James 1:18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth,..").

God is three persons (souls) in one omni-power Spirit (body). The attributes of the persons are holiness, righteousness, etc. The attributes of the Spirit are omnipotence, omniscience, and omniscience. The person Spirit of God is known as the Holy Ghost. God the Word, who was Jehovah, was known as the most high over all the earth, but not among the persons of God. God the Father is the most high among the persons in God. So, God the Father is above all. For details, the link is: Click on-> The Creator "Three-in-One" is the only true God

1. The Creator, the Most High God

God is the creator of the whole universe including all things that contains. This God is three persons in one Spirit. The three persons are 1) the most high God, 2) the Word (he has many names) and 3) the Spirit of God. In the New Testament, they are known as 1) God the Father, 2) Lord Jesus Christ, and 3) Holy Ghost. In creation, God the Father told what to make and Jesus Christ made them one by one and the Holy Ghost was helping him. The three of them jointly created us in the image of their soul. "John 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. Ephesians 3:9 --- God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: Genesis 1:2 --- the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters." But when God was creating man, God said let us (plural) make man in our (plural) image. "Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness." It is recorded as; God (not Gods) made man, as God is one person. "Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." Throughout the complete creation all three persons in God were involved, but it was recorded as God as if he is one. However, God the Father was the one, who initiated and instructed the creation and any other functions, even salvation.

2. Most High God - God the Father

The most high God gives directions to God the Word and the Spirit of God and the Word became a man named Jesus. He obeyed God, lived a holy life without committing any sin and died on the cross for the salvation of his people. God raised Jesus from death and declared him as his begotten Son. (For detail study click topic: "Begotten Son"). At this point Jesus Christ became the only Begotten Son of God and by the same declaration the most high God became God the Father. "Hebrews 1.5 ---,Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee. And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son."

A. Most High God

The name of God the Father was the most high God before the time of the Son of man. He is the highest among the persons in God. "Genesis 14:18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God. 19 And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth: 20 And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. Hebrews 7:1 For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, Luke 1:32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest ---. 35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: ---. Luke 8:28 When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee,---"

However, God Jehovah is also called the Most High above all the earth in one context. "Psalm 83:18 That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth." This context explains his position over all the earth and not the position among the persons in God. So still we can say that God the Father holds the position of command among the three persons. But they are equal in the status as God.

B. Prophesy Fulfilled, God the Son and God the Father.

The day that God begot His Son was prophesied in Psalms. "Psalm 2:7 I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee." It says that God will declare to Jesus on that day that he has begotten him as his Son by his declaration. It is not actually begetting a child, but it is like adopting a person as his Son. The fulfillment of this prophecy is explained. "Acts 13:32 And we declare unto you glad tidings, how that the promise which was made unto the fathers, 33 God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee." First these verses bring Psalm 2 as reference and then describe the fulfillment. God raised Jesus from the dead and declares that action of resurrection as he is begetting his Son. The following verses also say that the resurrection of Jesus from the dead was declared as God has begotten the Son. "Colosians 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; ---. Revelation 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead." This action of the most high God is consented also by the Holy Ghost. "Romans 1:4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead." So, resurrected Jesus is the begotten Son, who is God. By the same declaration by which Jesus was made the begotten Son, 'God the Most high' became the Father to Jesus Christ. "Hebrews 1:5 --- Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?"

C. Salvation by God the Father through Jesus.

In order to become a father he has to beget a child. The Bible says that God has a begotten Son, who is Jesus Christ. But when did God beget this Son? It appears to be that God begot his Son long before the birth of Jesus Christ because God was giving the already begotten Son to the world. "John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him ---." Christian pastors and scholars take this scripture as if it refers to Jesus of Nazareth. But, the scripture actually refers to the resurrected Jesus Christ who is declared as the begotten Son of God already at ascension to the throne of God in heaven. Then, the begotten Son was given or sent to the world. "Acts 3:26 Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities." However, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of man and the cross is referred in this verses. "John 3:13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life." So, John 3:14 is Jesus of Nazareth, son of man, and John 3:16 is the resurrected Lord Jesus Christ. We have to believe them both for our eternal life. The resurrected Lord Jesus Christ will turn us away from our sins, and when it is done, he will forgive our sins by his shed blood on the cross.

D. Pleasure of God the Father

"Luke 12:32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom." This is the ultimate salvation when we reach heaven. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost are in this great salvation, as they were in the creation. God the Father planned everything. God the Word became a man Jesus. "Hebrews 10:5 ...when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: 6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. 7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God." Jesus Christ preached the gospel (good news) of the kingdom of heaven to the people. "Matthew 4:23 Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom." He called the obedient with the gospel and lived a sample life so that they may follow. "1 Peter 2:21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:" He died for the sins of the world and became the author of salvation and he forgives the obedient. "Hebrews 5:8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; 9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;" God the Holy Ghost guides them, gives them power to follow Jesus, abides with them and raptures them to heaven. "Romans 8:11 --- if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you." The plan of salvation is planned by God the Father and is being executed by Lord Jesus Christ and Holy Ghost. His kingdom is given to his little flock.

3. Father God in Heaven

We must have faith and hope in God the Father, who raised Jesus Christ from death and gave him glory, so that we may also be raised in such a fashion on that day. "1 Peter 1:21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God." God the Father is above all, even above the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost. He is the most high God. "1 Corinthians 15:28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all."

Christians should know that God is the Creator, who is One Spirit with Three Souls. But we seldom recognize it. We accept that our God is Jesus Christ. But for all practicality we ignore God the Father and God the Holy Ghost. As for the works of God in the world, God the Holy Ghost is given a greater roll than the Lord Jesus Christ and God the Father. We should give our allegiance to Jesus Christ as our Lord and we must obey him. Regarding our worship of God in heaven, God the Father has a greater prominence than God the Holy Ghost and God the Son. God the Father is not just a name in the formula of blessings. He is the whole Master Planner of our salvation and the head of all.
