"Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe (do) all things whatsoever I (Jesus Christ) have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.2 Corinthians 7:1 ... dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God."

What is righteousness? High Priest is the highest position in the temple of God, he is in charge of all the sacrifices to God, and he is the head of rule for the people of God. And our Lord Jesus Christ has become flesh and blood like us, through death he destroyed him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; and became the author of salvation, Hebrews 2:17 says, "Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people." So, Jesus Christ is our High Priest. As the high priest, he will help his people to overcome their temptation. "Hebrews 2:18 For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted."
If we have the heavenly calling, that is, if we desire to become sons of God and to inherit new heaven, answer his call as soon as he call. "Hebrews 3:1 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; ... 7 Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice, 8 Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:" The Old Testament high priests have always committed sin and they have to offer sacrifices for their sins and then they offer sacrifices for the sins of the people. In the New Testament, Jesus Christ the High Priest, was tempted by sin but has never sinned. As the High Priest, he want to give grace and help us to overcome sins as he overcame. "Hebrews 4:14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. 15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need." So, he is not a high priest, who offer sacrifices for our sins, but to make us overcomers from our sins.
Jesus Christ is made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. "Hebrews 6:19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; 20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec." Being the High Priest, Jesus Christ is able to save his people, who will come to God by him, but not to those, who will not come to God to receive power to overcome sin. If God calls you today, please come. "Hebrews 7:24 But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. 25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them." Jesus intercedes as you live, not after death.
God Bless You
