"Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe (do) all things whatsoever I (Jesus Christ) have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.2 Corinthians 7:1 ... dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God."
I am a retired pastor of
the Church of God (Tennessee).
My name is Isaac Livingston. I am from Neyyoor India.
The Holy Ghost is God. 2 Timothy 3:16 says "All scripture is given by inspiration of God." So, if the Holy Ghost has inspired the scriptures, then the Holy Ghost is God. "Acts 1:16 this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before. Acts 28:25 well spake the Holy Ghost by Esaias the prophet unto our fathers. 2 Peter 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost." According to these verses the Holy Ghost has inspired the scriptures and so the Holy Ghost is God.
The creator is God. In Genesis 1:2 the Spirit of God, who is the Holy Ghost, has part in creation. "Job 26:13 By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent. Job 33:4 The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life. Psalms 104:30 Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth." Luke 1:35 & Hebrews 10:5 he joined with the Most High God to create a body in the womb of Mary for Jesus to be born. The Holy Ghost is creator, so he is God.
Romans 8:11 says if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. The Holy Ghost raised Jesus Christ from his death to eternal glory and if he abides in us, he will raise us also at the rapture. So, the Holy Ghost is the resurrector who takes us in rapture. So, he is God.
Hebrews 10:29 says Holy Ghost is also the Spirit of Grace. One side he is very merciful. The other side he demands respect and fear from us. "Matthew 12:31 I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. 32 but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come." That is, blasphemers will eternally be damned. In Acts 5:1-11, we see that Ananias and Sapphira were killed on the spot for tempting the Holy Ghost in order to inflict fear among the people and great fear came. Matthew 10:28 says to fear God only. Here, God wants us to fear the Holy Ghost and so the Holy Ghost is God.
1 Corinthians 6:19 says, "know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?" That is, you are the temple of the Holy Ghost. 1 Corinthians 3:17 says, "If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are."One verse says that you are the temple of the Holy Ghost, and the next verse says that you are the temple of God. That is, the Holy Ghost is God.
God Bless You
