The Old and New Testaments are Inspired

"Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe (do) all things whatsoever I (Jesus Christ) have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. 2 Corinthians 7:1 ... dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God."

The Old and New Testaments are Inspired

Christians considers that the Bible is the book that contains all scriptures that are inspired by God. It is actually the life line of a Christian. "2 Timothy 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works." Jesus Christ was very particular that he must give room for the prophesies to be fulfilled in his life, even though it caused him a cruel shameful death. "Matthew 26:53 Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels? 54 But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?" We are not expected to give our life as a sacrifice as Jesus Christ has done it, yet we must recognize that it is the word of God, and we must follow them in order to enter into the eternal rest. "Hebrews 4:11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. 12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."

King David is considered a prophet and psalmist because God was speaking through him. "2 Samuel 23:1 David the son of Jesse ..., the anointed of the God of Jacob, and the sweet psalmist of Israel, said, 2 The spirit of the LORD spake by me, and his word was in my tongue." Knowing that it is the word of God, may be they are prophesies, we must be careful to fulfil them even in our life. "2 Peter 1:19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: 20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost." Now a days, preachers mostly preach stories and politics in order to become popular and for good offering. But, we must preach the word of God without ant twist or deviation. "2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables."

"Mark 12:24 And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?" Jesus Christ often criticized the Pharisees and Scribes for not knowing scriptures, and making mistakes because of that. They are the ones, that supposed to know the scriptures. But, they were ignorant. Even now, the situation is the same. Pastors and preachers are supposed to know the scriptures. But they don't know scriptures, are ignorant and they preach errors. "Acts 28:25 And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word, Well spake the Holy Ghost by Esaias the prophet unto our fathers, 26 Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive: 27 For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them." But, scriptures are written for our learning and not for ceremonial reading. So, study the scriptures and walk by them. "Romans 15:4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope."
