Jesus Christ was Creator God, now He is God again.

"Mark 16:15 preach the gospel to every creature. Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe (do) all things whatsoever I (Jesus Christ) have commanded: Revelation 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega,... 14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, ... have right to the tree of life, and... enter ... the city."

I am a retired pastor of the Church of God (Tennessee).
My name is Isaac Livingston. I am from Neyyoor India.

Jesus Christ was Creator God, now He is God again.

The Word, who was God, became a man in order to be crucified as the Lamb of God. After crucifixion he was resurrected and then the most high God and the Holy Ghost together anointed him as Almighty God. God the Word was equal in status as God with most high God. Then he became a man by emptying himself from being God. Being a man, he submitted to most high God. In obedience to most high God, this man gave up his life as a sacrifice on the cross. Because of his obedience, God raised him from death, and made him the Begotten Son of God by the declaration, (Psalm 2:7, Acts 13:32-33, etc,). If you desire to study the details, please click on this link: "Begotten Son." God also made him the Begotten Son as both Lord and Christ, (Acts 2:36). As he ascended to heaven, God anointed the Son as God, because he loved righteousness, and hated iniquity, and he was God before, who has created all things, etc, (Hebrews 1:8-12).

At the point of his resurrection, Jesus’ role as human being ended, and he again became fully God. The following links explain this; the first explains Jesus’ role as God before his birth as a man, while the second and third links explain that Jesus again became God after his resurrection and ascension.

1. The Lord Jesus Christ was the Creator

Let us go to the beginning. The creator of the universe is God. He is three Souls in one omni-power Spirit. The three Soul persons of God are (1) the most high God, (2) God the Word, and (3) the Spirit of God. These three persons are in one Omnipotent Spirit, who is God. He has created everything that has come to existence. Let us study about the creation from the Bible. "Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters." Verse 1 says 'God created', and verse 2 says 'the Spirit of God moved upon creation'. Then we see that one God said to the other God to create and the other God created it. That is, the most high God said to create, God the Word created them and the Spirit of God was also in it. Here, let us see the report of the creation record.

"Genesis 1:3… God said, Let there be light: 4 … God divided the light. 6 … God said, Let there be a firmament … 7 …God made the firmament… 9 ... God said, … let the dry land appear: 10 … God called the dry land Earth; 14 … God said, Let there be lights 16 God made two great lights…20… God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth ... 21… God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth … and every winged fowl after his kind: 24 … God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature … 25 … God made the beast of the earth after his kind, … 26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, … 27 So God created man …" Here we see that one 'God said' and the other 'God made' them. The Spirit of God was in it. Thus God created all things.

The Old Testament says that God said and God created it, but it neither says which God said nor which God created it. "Ephesians 3:8 … I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; 9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: Hebrews 1:2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds." The New Testament says it clearly that God the Father said it and Jesus Christ created it, which indicates that the Lord Jesus Christ was God the creator even at the very beginning. "John 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. Colossians 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, --- all things were created by him, and for him:. Revelation 4:11 ---Thou art worthy, for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created." 'God the Word', who is Jesus Christ, has created all things for him and for his pleasure.

2. The Bible says the Lord Jesus Christ is God

This is the statement of Job from Old Testament. "Job 19:25… I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: 26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:" The Lord Jesus Christ is the redeemer for the whole world. And, the verse says that the redeemer is God. "Titus 2:14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works." So, the Lord Jesus Christ is God.

"Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." Isaiah refers the Lord Jesus Christ as the Mighty God.

"Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us." God will be with all his people all the time until the end. This is fulfilled in the Lord Jesus Christ after his resurrection. "Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth... 20 ... lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world." After his resurrection he is omnipresent and the Lord Jesus Christ is God.

"Acts 7:59 And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit." Here is the account of the death of Stephen, the first martyr. Looking unto heaven, he calls the Lord Jesus as God, which is proof that the Lord Jesus Christ is God.

The Bible repeatedly points out that our Savior is the Lord Jesus Christ. "Luke 2:11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord." Again it points out that the Savior is God. "1 Timothy 2:3 …this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Luke 1:47 … my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour." The savior is God and Jesus Christ is the savior. So, Jesus Christ is God.

"Titus 2:10 … but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things…. 13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;" We all know that the glorious appearing refers to the second coming of Jesus Christ. Here, he is our Savior and he is referred as Great God. That is, the Lord Jesus Christ is Great God.

The Lord Jesus Christ visits Apostle John at the island of Patmos and identifies himself as the Almighty. "Revelation 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. Revelation 4:8… they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come." The same Jesus Christ is also called Lord God Almighty. "Revelation 15:3 they sing … the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints." It is the song of the Lamb, which is of Jesus Christ and he is Lord God Almighty.

"1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one." At the end, it is revealed that the Lord Jesus Christ has become the Word. "John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." The Word is God and so, the Lord Jesus Christ is God. "Revelation 19:13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God… 15 … he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God." Here we see that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Word of God, who is God, and he is the Almighty God.

God the Father gave all judgments to the Lord Jesus Christ. "John 5:22 the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son," Lord God Almighty is the judge. "Revelation 16:7 Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments." That is, the Lord Jesus Christ is God. "Revelation 19:1 And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God: 2 For true and righteous are his judgments:  5 And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great. 6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth." Many verses repeated the fact that Jesus Christ is God.

Revelation 7 says "9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; 10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. 11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, 12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen." Notice, the Lamb, who is Jesus Christ, is sitting on the throne and all people are standing before him, the angels standing around them, the elders and the four beasts fell before the throne on their faces and worship him as God. So, Jesus Christ is God for the last two thousand plus years, except when he was a man.

"Revelation 11:15 … the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. 16 And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God, 17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come." They worship God the Father as well as the Lord Jesus Christ as God.

"Revelation 22:6 .. he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done. 16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches." The Lord God has sent his angel in verse 6 and verse 16 identifies the Lord God is the Lord Jesus Christ. That is, the Lord Jesus Christ is God.

The enemies of the gospel may bring anything to confuse the issue. The word of God is very clear in pointing that the Lord Jesus Christ is God.
