"Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe (do) all things whatsoever I (Jesus Christ) have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.2 Corinthians 7:1 ... dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God."
I am a retired pastor of
the Church of God (Tennessee).
My name is Isaac Livingston. I am from Neyyoor India.
At the present time, the church is rejecting the laws of God from the Bible saying that now is the time of grace, but not the time of the laws. "Hebrews 10:16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; 17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more." But God says that if the laws of God are not allowed, that is, if it is not written in our hearts and minds, then our sins and iniquities will always be remembered, that is, they will not be forgiven. You cannot enter heaven, if your sins are not forgiven. So, the laws of God is always important. However, God has revised and upgraded many of his laws. For example, animal sacrifice, circumcision, temple worship, ceremonies, feasts, all Sabbaths, ordinances, traditions, etc, are removed by God. Jesus Christ has revised a few even in the ten commandments. So, it is important to know the word of God. Further God requires us to obey the laws of the land, even the employers at the work place. So, obeying the laws are more important than we think. Even governments are ordained by God and rebellion is not the advise of God, unless it is blasphemy. Laws and the commandments of Jesus Christ may go hand in hand. We have to obey them. Please refer this link for more points: "Commands".
God Bless You
