The True Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ

"Mark 16:15 preach the gospel to every creature. Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe (do) all things whatsoever I (Jesus Christ) have commanded: Revelation 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega,... 14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, ... have right to the tree of life, and... enter ... the city."

I am a retired pastor of the Church of God (Tennessee).
My name is Isaac Livingston. I am from Neyyoor India.

Christians are religious. There is a distinct difference between religiosity and godliness. Doctrines of men, traditions, rituals, ordinances, song services, ceremonies, etc, are religiosity. Religion will twist or deviate from the word of God as they desire. But the truth will take the doctrine of Christ as he has preached, in its context. Obeying what Jesus Christ has commanded is godliness; it is godly life. Jesus Christ says in Matthew 7:24 "Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:" If we do what he tells us to do, then we build on the rock. Jesus Christ says in Matthew 7: "21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. 26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: 27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it." If we do not do what he tells us to do, then we build on the sand, which are the works of denominations, which will fall and be destroyed. That is, if we obey him we will go to heaven, but if we do not obey him we will be in hell. But, we shout Jesus, Jesus, and rally around his name, but we will not do what he tells us to do. We say that we are building on the rock, calling Jesus Christ as the rock. But, Jesus Christ says that his commandments are the rock, and obeying them is building on the rock; and it is not rallying around his name. "Luke 6:46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?" There is no meaning to call Jesus Christ as Lord or God, without doing what he tells us to do.

Jesus Christ is the only person who is anointed to preach the gospel according to Isaiah 61:1 and Luke 4:18. Nobody else is anointed as the author of the gospel. Matthew 4:23, 9:35, 11:4&5, Mark 1:14&15, 8:35, 10:29, 16:15, Luke 4:18, 7:22, 9:6, 20:1, etc, are proof that Jesus Christ has preached the true gospel and told his disciples to preach it. So, if we preach the true gospel, we must preach that (1) Jesus Christ is the ONLY author of the gospel and (2) preach the gospel that Jesus Christ preached for salvation. If we preach any other gospel, that Jesus Christ did not preach, we are cursed of God. "Galatians 1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we (Jesus Christ and his apostles) have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed." Jesus Christ was crucified, died, buried, and was raised from death. This is true and so we all must believe this. But, believing this will not take us to heaven, since Jesus Christ did not preach it as the gospel of salvation for eternal life. But, we must preach his story and confirm that he is the savior and he will save according to the true gospel that he has preached. So, we must preach Jesus Christ as the author of salvation, and we must preach the true gospel that Jesus Christ has preached as the true gospel. And, we must obey his gospel, in order to be saved. "2 Thessalonians 1:7 ..., when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, 8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:" We must know about him. However, knowledge will not save us, but it will give the incentive to obey him. Obeying Jesus Christ is obeying his true gospel and it will save us.

So, let us see what gospel that Jesus Christ preached and what eternal life will we inherit. "Revelation 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. 13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. 14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. 15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie." So, it is according to what we have done. Whoever gives or devotes his/her life for the cause of Jesus Christ will be the bride of Christ and will receive the highest level in heaven. Whoever lives a holy life to become perfect will be the sons of God and they will live with God in New Heaven. Repentant backsliders, who turns from sin like the prodigal son, to be true servants of God, will serve God as priests and rulers in the temple of God in the New Earth. Whoever is born again (born of the spirit), but has not grown further, lived a normal life, but has not quenched the spirit, he/she will still be the child of God. The children of God will live in Paradise, which is the new earth. If we are not born of the spirit (2 Corinthians 5:1-5), we will not fit any status in heaven. So, we will be in hell and then in the lake of fire. But, how to attain heaven? Jesus Christ says in Luke 14:28, "which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?" So, first of all, count the cost to determine, how much of your life you are willing to devote for which status in heaven that you can afford to inherit. And then strive to devote your life for it. God will prosper it by giving you his grace and power, in the measure that you will need. But, preachers preach that we don't have to do anything and it is all free. It is fake grace, it is free, and it is opposite to obeying God. "Jude 1:4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ." Fake grace rejects the lordship of Christ, but it will accept many ungodly things and religious observances. So, there are false gospels and true gospel. True gospel is what Jesus Christ told us to do to inherit the kingdom of God. Let us go for it.

God Bless You
