Are Isaiah 64:6 & Romans 3:10 our filthy rags righteousness?

"Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe (do) all things whatsoever I (Jesus Christ) have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. 2 Corinthians 7:1 ... dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God."

False preachers say that the righteousness of godly people are as filthy rags in the sight of God whereas God rewards and recompenses the righteousness of godly people.

Is Isaiah 64:6 & Romans 3:10, our filthy rags righteousness?

Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus, May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be upon you.

Today’s topic is to discus whether our righteousness is filthy rags or not? Most preachers quote Isa 64:6 and say all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags. Then they explain it as the best righteousness of a best godly person is as filthy rags in the sight of God. Then they say that we would swap our righteousness with the righteousness of Jesus Christ. But it is a deception. I wish that they are saying it out of ignorance, but not on purpose. If they do it on purpose then they are servants of Satan. Deut 6:25 says- it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he hath commanded us. Yet, they teach that we can swap our righteousness with Jesus Christ. It is a lie of the devil. Nobody swap nobody's righteousness. Yet false preachers teach this.

Now, Isaiah 64:6 does say that all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags. Let us look at the scriptures to find who is referred in this verse in its context. Verse 5 ... behold, thou art wroth; for we have sinned. 6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.7 And there is none that calleth upon thy name, that stirreth up himself to take hold of thee: for thou hast hid thy face from us, and hast consumed us, because of our iniquities. Here, these people were living in sin and iniquities, doesn't even call upon God. God's wrath was upon them and God has rejected them. Their sins are filthy rags. False preachers say it is the righteousness of godly people, who seek and obey God. That is a twist of scripture.

Okay. Let us just look at the previous verse. 4 .. since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him. 5 Thou meetest him that rejoiceth and worketh righteousness, those that remember thee in thy ways. Look here how marvelous are the benefits for the righteousness of godly people? It says that the things God has prepared for them are so marvelous that even the human mind cannot comprehend them. God is waiting to meet them in his second coming to honour these people with these great heavenly benefits. You know, how tragic these preachers call this righteousness as filthy rags? Let me say something. How is it that nobody read verse 4 and 5 and everybody read verse 6? Verse 6 comes after 4 and 5, not before. Why they skipped 4 and 5 to preach verse 6? If they read verse 6 to you, tell them to read verses 4 and 5.

Let me bring another passage. Rom 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: They quote this verse and say that nobody is righteous in the whole world and God will never consider even the righteousness of godly men. Let me read the verses in its context. It starts from verse 2.

It says: For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? It is talking about a people to whom the word of God came, but who did not believe it. God says what if they do not believe and he describes them here. Rom 3:10 As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one: It is the righteousness of those who did not believe his word. 11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. 12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. 13 Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips: 14 Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: 15 Their feet are swift to shed blood: 16 Destruction and misery are in their ways: 17 And the way of peace have they not known: 18 There is no fear of God before their eyes.

These are the description of the rebellious ungodly people, who are even filthy criminals. Why these preachers pull this passage and connect it to godly people? It is because they want to deceive godly people. Is it not the work of Satan?

Let us look at another scripture to show how much God regards the righteousness of godly people. 2 Sam 22:21 The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness: according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me. 22 For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God. 23 For all his judgments were before me: and as for his statutes, I did not depart from them. 24 I was also upright before him, and have kept myself from mine iniquity. 25 Therefore the LORD hath recompensed me according to my righteousness; according to my cleanness in his eye sight. These preachers say the righteousness of godly people is filthy rag. They should repent, stop the lies and why they serve Satan?

Rom 6:18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. ... 22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

Verse 18, made free from sin, you became servants of righteousness and verse 22, made free from sin, you became servants of God, Servants of righteousness and servants to God are synonyms, which leads to holiness and everlasting life. That is, through the work of righteousness God gives everlasting life. Don't allow the servants of Satan to call this righteousness as filthy rags.
