Christians follow a Religion but not Eternal Life

"Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe (do) all things whatsoever I (Jesus Christ) have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. 2 Corinthians 7:1 ... dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God."

Christians follow a Religion but not Eternal Life

So many religions are in this world. They worship a god or gods. Everyone claim that the god they worship is the true god. Christians and Jews are supposed to worship the Creator as God, who created all things in existence. All other gods are created by men and they are false gods. The Lord Jesus Christ showed the way to God to his people. The way is righteousness and holiness through which Jesus Christ walked. Christians do not follow that way. Instead, Christians follow a religion with another Jesus, another spirit, another gospel and false Christs. They became religious and lost the way of life. In short, Christians follow a religion, but not the life of Jesus Christ.

A. Carnally Minded or Spiritually Minded Christians

Two kinds of people are in the Church. They are carnally minded and spiritually minded. "Romans 8:4 the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be." The spiritually minded people shall fulfill the righteousness of God. The carnally minded people will also be the part of the Church. But yet they cannot and will not obey the commandments of God. For example: If you talk to them about water baptism, Holy Ghost baptism, gifts of the Holy Ghost, becoming holy, obeying God, becoming perfect, stop sinning, etc, then you will face a fight. They will argue and justify why they should not obey the doctrine of God. They may belong to a certain denomination of a church or a group, but they do not belong to God. They are carnal Christians. They are in enmity with God even though outwardly they are serving God.

B. Religiosity is by people and Spirituality is by God

Most Christians and Pastors do not know the difference between religiosity and spirituality. Sentiment, tradition, emotion, etc, which are considered spiritual by many are actually religious. Good Christian music in churches is accepted as the presence of God. The excitement and the admiration for the performance of music is mistaken for spiritual worship. We can add many more to this list. "John 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. 8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit." Jesus Christ says that the born again people, who are the children of God, will move along with the Wind, which is the Holy Ghost. They will do whatever the Holy Ghost requires from them with perfect obedience. Religious and Spiritual people may speak the same vocabulary. Spiritual people will live in obedience to the doctrines of God while religious people will not obey, but will put up a show.

C. Ministers of Satan come as Ministers of God

When Satan deceives people he will not identify himself as Satan. Even his disciples will not identify themselves as the servants of Satan. "2 Corinthians 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works." Pretending as ministers of God, they preach false gospel and offer false salvation for which they will be remunerated well in this world, but will be punished accordingly by God in eternity.

We obtain salvation by obeying God, out of our love toward our Lord Jesus Christ. Satan wants us to love God but not with obedience. To love God through our ceremonies, songs, music, festivals, prayers, testimonies, witnesses, preaching, proclamations, etc, is the easiest thing in the world. But this is not the true love. "Matthew 15:8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. 9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men." But they that love God with a sincerity will escape from deception. "2 Peter 2:18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error."

We can hear the deceptive preaching of Satan from most churches. They say that grace is the favor of God that accepts a person to heaven, who continues to sin, as long as he confesses Christ. They say that God gave commandments just to show that commandments cannot be obeyed. They preach that God is against his own law and he hates those obey the law. They preach many lies such as this. It is so sad that so many Christians fall for it. If you need more clarity on this topic you may read these articles, "Beware of False Prophets" and "Satan Shows himself as God".  Most Church people who are just carnal, religious or/and sentimental may be deceived by Satan. But God's people will overcome the world and Satan with the abiding of God in them.

D. We Need Holy Ghost to Reprove and Guide Us

"John 16:8 And when he (The Holy Ghost) is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:" If sin is present in a Church, then the Holy Ghost will reprove the people of sin. If a message of love, joy and peace is preached instead of the message of reproving sin, then that message is not from the Holy Ghost. If the church congregation cannot stand a message of righteousness and will run away from the message on judgment of God, then this congregation is neither seeking God nor it is of God.

The Holy Ghost will guide the disciples, who will do what the master says, into 'All Truth.' If it is All Truth, they will be guided into every truth without leaving anything and there will be no room for any error or a spot of lie. "John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you."

The disciples will find themselves abiding in Jesus Christ by the guidance of the Holy Ghost.  Jesus Christ told the disciples that the Holy Ghost who is guiding them will also abide in them. "John 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you." The worldly Christians cannot receive the Holy Ghost. A Spirit that exhibits something other than the holiness of God is not the Holy Ghost. A False Spirit will lead people to another Jesus, that is, to the antichrist. "1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world."

E. The truth shall make you free

Christians are tossed between different kinds of false teachings. They say that God the Father looks at the shed blood of Jesus Christ and forgive them who claim the name of Jesus Christ. But it is Jesus Christ who will sit on the judgment seat and judges according to what we have done in obedience to God and not according to what we say with our mouth. "Revelation 20:13 --- they were judged every man according to their works. John 5:27 And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man. ---- 29 --- they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation." Accept the truth. It will make you free.

Salvation is the freedom from the bondage of sin while we are living on earth. "John 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." If we obey God, he will deliver us from our sins.

In order to study the details of sacrifice, we should go to the old testament. But I may not teach it for salvation. It may be necessary for your inquisitive mind. But it is not required of you to be sacrificed on the cross or to be a martyr, etc. So, we must be satisfied in learning what we must do, rather than to study to know the meaning of what Jesus has done. For an example: I must die to the flesh, but not to be crucified. "Galatians 3:5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: 6 For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:" Why we should do this? Because: "Galatians 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory." We do not have to know, what will happen if Christ had not died. That kind of studies are distractions. He has died. We don't need the ifs. I think that you care about your eternal life but not on your research papers.

It is about many verses like Hebrews 9:28, when Jesus Christ has become God, he comes to people without their knowledge, either to close the door, or to write their names in the book of life. Hebrews 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. Here, first the Son of Man came in the likeness of sinful flesh, and in many ways connected with sin, even though he lived with no sin. But, when he has come as God, the Lord Jesus Christ, he is also called the Son of Man, he is in Spirit body with no sin connected with him and his mission is to stop from committing sin (without sin unto salvation), whereas the purpose of his first mission was to make a way to forgive the committed sin (offered to bear the sins). "Acts 3:26 Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities." See, the second time Jesus Christ has come and turns his people away from their sins. If the people obeys him, they are accepted or the door is closed on them.

"Matthew 5:28 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: 27 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart." The real sinner is the inner man, who is the embodiment of the inherent character of the person, which is the soul. If this inner person desires sin, he is a sinner even before he/she commits sin. If a person commits sin, it is proof that he/she is a sinner. The old man of sin is still in them. They are sinners until the old man pass away and they are born new of the Spirit. This happens only by the grace and the work of God. Grace is given to believers so that they obey and do the works of righteousness. God also does a work of salvation in them.

F. Saved by the Life of Christ

If a person is committing sin, God considers him dead in sin. He is spiritually dead drowned in a pool of sins, according to God. God pulls him out of the pool of sins and gives him the breath of life, which is the holy spirit, and saves him. Thus God quickens him/her. "Genesis 2:7 -- breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Romans 5:10 --- we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life Ephesians 2:1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins." There is no such thing that a person is quickened or brought to life while he is still immersed in the pool of sins. But preachers say that the sinner is kept inside the pool of sin and is given life while they commit sin. These preachers as well as those who believe them are out of their minds, blind and fell in the ditch. Jesus Christ says to leave them alone, so that they may die eternally.

Jesus Christ saves his people from their sins; that is, he saves them from the very act of sinning itself. Once they are saved from the monster called Sin, they will not commit sin anymore. As this is done, Jesus Christ forgives their past sins. Now, past sins are forgiven, freed from future sins, and so they are saved from sins. Since they have no sins, there is no punishment to them for sins. This is how the Lord Jesus Christ saves his people from their sins.

But, Preachers twist the verses of the Bible to preach something else. They say that Jesus Christ saves Christians from the punishment for sins and allows them to enjoy their sins. They also say that nobody can stop sinning as long as they are alive. They do not know the power of God in his grace. They even twist the meaning of grace, power and Spirit of God. They say that God saves Christians form hell, but not from their sins. Their salvation is bluff and they go to hell.

Matthew 1:21... call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.” This verse points to two things. (1) Jesus will save his people only. His people are those who obey him. Hebrews 5:9 ... the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him.” Preachers say Christians are his people and obedience is not an issue. (2) Jesus will save them from their sins. That is, the escape is from their sins and thus it is escape from the punishment for sins. Preachers say that Jesus Christ saves them from the punishment for sins, but not from sins. Preachers twist the verses of the Bible and most Christians like it.

Here, we see two scenarios. First scenario explains how to receive eternal life and the second scenario explains how people receive eternal death. Romans 6:22 ... now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. 23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” In order to earn eternal death what all they have to do is to commit sin. This is so easy. Most Christians do just that. But, in order to receive the gift of eternal life, we must be (1) made free from sins, (2) become true servants to God, (3) show the proof of being a servant of God, which is living a holy life. The reward for these three steps is the gift of eternal life and it is given by our Lord Jesus Christ. But, preachers give a little twist to verse 23 and read it to mean a different thing. First, they will not refer verse 22, as if it does not exist. Then they just admit that the wages of sin is death, but quickly they say that instead of death God gives the gift of eternal life to sinners (this is not scripture, they just make it up). That is, they say things to mean that the gift for committing sins is eternal life, which is just opposite to what the word of God says. Sinners love to gamble. Their wages is eternal death.
