Most Christians say that they are saved.. They just say it as a cliché. They do not even know what grace is or even what salvation is. So, Let us study what Salvation is, from the Bible. We will also compare the Bible with the teachings of false preachers. We will analyze a clip of Paul Washer also.

Salvation of Christ - Clip of Paul Washer

Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus, the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be upon you.

This is a study. 1- common salvation from the Bible, 2- how false preachers teach salvation, 3- analyze a clip of Paul Washer and then 4- we will study the salvation from the very life of Jesus Christ.

First, let us see common salvation. Churches have defined salvation in such a way that nobody will go to hell. Unfortunately, churches are not the one who decide who will go to heaven or who will go to hell. However, in order to satisfy everybody, the word salvation has changed its meaning. So, we cannot study salvation from religious perspective. We must study salvation only from pure scriptures.

In a way, salvation is an escape from hell and an entrance to heaven. Let us first study about hell. Matt 25:41 Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: God made hell to punish satan and fallen angels. Christians think that satan is the king in hell. No, he will be locked in hell as a prisoner. Hell is everlasting fire. Cursed people will also be cast into it. Hell is the holding place for Satan, demons and sinning people until judgment day. Then, they will be cast all into the lake of fire. Heaven is where God dwells. Universe is included in heaven. Heaven is the place of eternal joy. To escape hell and to enter heaven is our salvation.

Let me explain a picture of hell in common language. Have you ever saw a dream which was scarey, terrifying, panic of torture gripped you, you screamed for help, trying your best to escape, but nothing was working and you could not do a thing, you are caught in it, then a thought came to you that it is a dream and somehow you wrestled to wake up, after a long minute you came out of the dream, you were breathing hard with sweat and exhausted but thank God now you are awake & relieved. Nobody touched your body, no harm is done to you, yet your soul went through an agony of torture and death in that dream. God gives dreams to teach people. If we have discernment, we will learn from it. Hell will be like that dream in fire without an escape. Neither theology nor doctrines can wake you up or bring you back. This scary dream and a fire, with no waking up, is hell.

But, Matt 25:21&23 Jesus Christ says Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. If you are a faithful servant to Jesus Christ, your master and Lord of your life, he will invite you to rule with him in heaven. This is salvation.

Acts 16:30 Sirs, what must I do to be saved? 31 they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. So, it is simply taken as to believe that there was a man called Jesus Christ, he died on a cross and God raised him from death, and so on. The expected result is that you and all your family will be in heaven. Salvation is so simple. Most Christians believe it. But, is it what the verse say? The verse says to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. First, and foremost we must believe, he is our lord who is our master. Most Christians some how skip the portion, the Lord. For them, he is just Jesus Christ. But if he is Lord, he is our master, then we will do what he tells us to do. If Jesus Christ is not telling you to do anything, or if you are not doing what he tells you to do, then he is not your Lord or master. If you have accepted him as your master, he will tell you what to do to be saved. If you believe on him, you will do what he tells you to do and then you will be saved. This is salvation.

Let us look another set of scriptures. Luke 13:23 Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, 24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. That is, Jesus Christ says to strive, that is to work hard to enter eternal life, which has a very tight gate, which we have to squeeze ourselves through it. He says people will try to find easier ways to enter and they cannot enter. Matt 19:25 When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved? 26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. Here Salvation comes by our striving to enter the very tight gate. It is to obey the commandments of Jesus Christ by hard work, which will be made possible by the grace of God. If it is not for the grace of God, salvation will not be possible a/c to these vss. At the same time, if we do not strive to obey him, God will not help us with his grace. So we have to strive to obey him. Then God will help us with his grace and power. Then we will be saved. This is salvation.

We will see in the entire chapter Matt 23, Jesus Christ calls all the temple people, who were similar to the church people of today, who were thinking that they have the favor of God, and tore them to pieces. He concludes in vs 33 saying ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? A/c to this chapter, only a few people in the churches may escape the damnation of hell. But, we think that people outside churches will go to hell, but church people will go to heaven. But a/c to Jesus Christ, the vast majority of church people will go to hell. Jesus Christ and the apostles preached they must repent, turn to God and do works meet for repentance, that is, they must do the work to prove that they have repented. Now a days Christians say, they repent, but they do not have works and they say that they are not saved by works. It is proof that they have not repented. If they do not do the first step toward salvation, how will they be saved? So, they will never be saved.

Christians quote verses like Rev 1:5 saying that Jesus Christ washed us from our sins in his own blood. Say, if we took bath and washed our filth, then we will be clean without filth. But, if a guy having filth all over him says that he is washed clean, it is a lie. So also, if we are living in sin that is filth and say that we are cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ, it is a lie. So, they are not saved. Salvation is not just quoting scriptures, but we have to live by them.

Another big deception is false grace. They say that they are saved by grace. Ask them what is grace, they cannot tell, because they don't know. Rom 5:21 as sin hath reigned unto death, that is, you think that you enjoy sin, but the truth is, sin reigns you or sin rules you and it will take you to eternal death. In the same way, same vs 21 even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. That is as sin has ruled over you, now grace reigns over you or rules over you, through righteousness, by the Lord Jesus Christ. That is, if you have grace, that grace rules you, that is, Jesus Christ rules your life, so you will not sin, and live in righteousness. It is the proof whether you have grace or not. If you have grace, you will have eternal life, that is, you are saved by grace. Vs 17 says they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ. So, grace is that Jesus Christ reign your life. But, in churches people are taught to say that they are saved by grace, it is a cliché, and it is fake. Jesus Christ is not ruling their life. They do not even know what grace is. They are not saved.

False preachers quote Rom 11:6 if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace. In this context grace and works are opposite to each other. False preachers try to take advantage of this. To obey God is hard work. So, they say, if you obey God, it is works and we will not be saved by grace. So, they preach not to obey God so that we may be saved by grace. It is ridiculous yet they preach that. Let us see the scriptures. God's grace will not change. So, let us find what is works in this context. In vs 4 God says I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal. 5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace. A/c to the context, God has given grace to those who do not bow down to Ball or Satan. So, to obey Satan is works. Grace is opposite to Satanic work, but goes hand in hand with godly work. False preachers say that grace is opposite to godly work. Crooked preachers twist such scriptures, and deceive Christians. They will never be saved and will be cast in hell.

Another false teaching is that Jesus Christ died on the cross to take our punishment, so that we may go to heaven freely. This is also a lie and fabrication of the devil. But most Christians believe this. Jesus died on the cross for the sins of the whole world. But the whole world will not be saved because Jesus did not die instead of or in the place of, the whole world. Our punishment for sins is to be burned in hell for eternity, not to be crucified on a cross. If Jesus Christ took our punishments, he could have been still burning in hell for eternity. Jesus Christ was not cast into hell in our place but he died on a cross. Heb 5:8 says by the things which he suffered; (that was his death on the cross) 9 he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; Point #1. By dying on the cross, he became the author of eternal salvation. Point #2. He will save only those who obey him. So, those who do not obey him, has no part in salvation. Rom 3:25 God hath set forth him to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past. The remission of sins is to declare that God is righteous. When our sinning is past, that is, when we will not sin anymore, God forgives our past sins, to declare his righteousness. Remember that to punish those who hold on to sin with wrath is the revelation of the righteous judgment of God a/c to Rom 2:5. Forgiveness, if our sinning is past, is to show that God is righteous. This is our salvation.

Eph 2:1 you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins: Again in vs 5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) Here, the word of God says that those who are in sins and trespasses are dead eternally and they are on the way to hell. But, God raised them from death and place them with Christ. This is referred as by grace ye are saved. Vs 4 says God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, he saved us. But, God repeatedly affirms that he is not a respecter of persons. That is, he will not favor anybody unless they deserve it, because he is righteous and holy but not biased God. Then why does he have rich mercy and great love toward us and saved us only, but not anybody else? God must have a reason. What is it? Let us see verses 2&3. 2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: 3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. Here, we see in vs 2, that in time past, they walked as the world and a/c to the devil, and were not obeying God. But now they obey God and are not walking a/c to the world or the devil. We see in vs 3, in time past they were children of the wrath of God, doing the lust of flesh and of mind with others, but not anymore. They have changed their life by the grace of God. This is why God saved them. They are saved.

Rom 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? That is, if you do sin, you are servants to sin and you will face eternal death which is hell. But if you obey God, you will live a righteous life and vs 22 says that you will inherit eternal life. 17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. It says, you were servants to sins in the past, but now you obey the commandments of Jesus Christ. As you obey Jesus, his blood cleanses you from all unrighteousness, which was the root cause of all sins and then God forgives your past sins a/c to 1 John 1:7-9 & Rom 3:25. Vs18 says Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. That is, now we serve God doing righteousness, but not committing sin. 22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. That is, we live in holiness and the result is everlasting life. This is salvation.

Jude vs 3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, Vs 4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. It says ungodly men took over the churches without our knowledge. They are our pastors, evangelists, etc. But, how do we know if they are false? The Bible says that if they are false, they will deny the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. Our churches did not deny God or Jesus Christ. So, it appears that they are okay. But, wait a minute. The scriptures say that they will deny the Lord God and Lord Jesus Christ. The word Lord is included before God and Jesus Christ. Lord means Master. The churches either ignored or denied the lordship of God and of Jesus Christ. Many Christians openly deny the Lordship of God and of Jesus Christ and call it as a cult. They consider God as their father and Jesus Christ as their brother, a good friend or a Gene who helps them in times of need. So, false preachers have already crept in our churches. They have already turned the grace of our God into lasciviousness to accommodate our sins. It is proof that ungodly men have already took over the churches. True grace is not friendly to sin, but it will destroy sin. But, the grace of the churches are very friendly to sin. Church grace does not condemn sin, but it loves sin.

Now let us see a clip of Paul Washer. This clip is just an example for false teachings. The name of the clip is: what is salvation by Paul Washer (in two minutes). I think that he has prepared a concentrated summary of their salvation doctrine. It is a bunch of high sounding dramatized sentences that has no sense or meaning or truth to it. I will be quoting what he has said sentence by sentence and will give explanations to them. I wish that you listen to it and come to your own conclusion in the light of the scriptures.

He begins the clip saying, “At this moment God commands all men to repent and to believe. But, every church attending Christian has repented and believed in Christ already. So, at this moment God is not commanding this. Then he said, “today is the day of salvation that you have to flee from the wrath to come. To flee from the law of Moses that condemns you.” He thinks that the wrath of God is in the law of Moses. He tells Christians to flee from it. But, Christians are not under the law of Moses. Circumcision, sacrifices, feasts of the tabernacle, temple ceremonies, we have none of these. He cries wolf wolf, but there is no wolf. Then he says “run in to the city of refuge that is Jesus Christ our Lord. Run to him.” Every Christian has already ran to Jesus Christ, that is why we are Christians. Then he said, “Repentance is simply giving up.” Give up what? Repentance is to change our minds from disobeying God to obey God. It is not simply giving up. Then he said, “stop fighting against Godas if Christians are fighting against God. It is a shame. Then he says, stop attempting to gain your salvation through your own works. If at all, Christians want to do something, they try to obey God. It is neither fighting against God, nor doing our own works. Obeying God is the work of God. Then he says, “literally give up and fall upon Christ. That is salvation.” What to give up? Give up to obey Jesus Christ! What is to fall upon Christ? Did God ever say to fall upon Christ for salvation? Is it in the Bible? Paul Washer finds new method for salvation. He does not want you to do what Jesus Christ tells us to do for salvation. But, he wants you to keep enjoying sin and ask God to forgive you. Probably that is what he meant by fall upon Christ. Many Christians like what he says. But, it is fake salvation and deception. Then he wants you to tell God before the judgment seat, nothing in my hands I bring, simply to the cross I cling. It is a song. It is good for poetry rhyme. No man should preach a song as the word of God. Nobody can go to God empty handed. Either they have obedience or disobedience in their hands, they get either heaven or hell by it. Rev 20:12&13 say, Christ will judge every man according to their works. Then he says, you know that you are standing before God is absolutely 100 % based and founded upon the perfect work and merit of Jesus Christ. No, the perfect work and the merits of Jesus Christ has made him the righteous judge. What is that to you? On that day when you are standing before him, all those who did not obey him will be condemned to hell by him. Then he says that you stand before him in confidence knowing that all your sins are atoned for. No, no, no, this is pure deception. By saying this, he got most Christians for himself. But your sins will not be forgiven unless you have done what Jesus Christ told you to do to attain forgiveness. He concludes saying; you are righteous in Christ. Come to him. Unless you do what God tells you to do, you are not righteous a/c to Deut 6:25, and unless you have mortified the sins of your body, you are not in Christ a/c to Rom 8:13 & Col 3:3. He preaches bluff and pure deception. Because he convince people that we do not have to obey Jesus Christ in order to go to heaven, Christians love him. They love to enjoy sin as well as they also want to go to heaven. Satan gets them through famous preachers like Paul Washer. The vast majority of Christian ministers are false preachers.

Matt 15:8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. 9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. Paul Washer and most preachers do exactly what these verse say. They praise God with their mouth. But their hearts enjoy sin and in vain they worship God, preaching their own doctrine, twisting the word of God, and they serve the devil, who is Satan. But, they put up a show and convince others as if they serve the Lord Jesus Christ.

Now, we have studied about the basic or common salvation from the Bible. Then, we have studied how preachers as Paul Washer teach false salvation and deceive people. Now, we are going to study the salvation of Jesus Christ from the life of Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ was God the Word from the beginning a/c to John 1:1. Then he became flesh that has sinful nature a/c to John 1:14 & Rom 8:3. But he lived without sin a/c John 8:46. Please listen to this verse carefully. Heb 5:7 Jesus Christ, in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared; Please notice. We all know that Jesus Christ was the savior of the world. But it is not commonly preached that when he was a man, he needed to be saved. As a man, he prayed to God with supplications, with strong crying and tears to save him from death. The verse says that he was heard in that he feared. That means his prayer was granted. Yet, his physical body was crucified and he was dead. But his soul, the person was glorified, resurrected and raised to heaven as lord and God. That is, his soul was saved from death and his flesh died. But, his prayer was granted and so he was saved. So, the word salvation refers to the soul and not to the body in any way. In Matt 26:38 Jesus says My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death. 39 And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. God the Father did not spare his flesh, but spared his soul. In Matt 27:46 Jesus cried, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? His flesh body was forsaken. How will, God apply this, to our salvation? We also have a flesh body and a soul. Please listen to this. Rom 8:13 if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. That is, we don't have to be crucified as Jesus was, but we have to mortify the deeds of the body, that is our sinning. Gal 5:19 says the works of the flesh are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. In order to inherit the kingdom of God, we have to mortify these deeds of the body, by the Spirit of God. Then, our souls will be saved as Jesus Christ was saved. This is salvation.

Rev 7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, etc 10 cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. Jesus Christ was seated on the throne of God. Then the great multitude shouted that salvation to the Lamb of God and now he is seated on the throne. So, salvation is to be seated on the throne of God. There are two kinds of people who will sit on the throne of God. In Matt 19:27 Peter said unto Jesus Christ, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore? 28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, etc. So, one group of people who will sit in his throne are those who forsook the worldly things and followed Jesus Christ. In Rev 3:21 Jesus Christ says, to him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. The next group of people are those who will overcome sins, world and satan. To sit on the throne of Jesus Christ is salvation. It is available to you.

Rev 12:10 I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, etc: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down. Satan was cast out from his presence. It is referred as salvation has come. So, how we cause the devil to be cast out from us? Acts 26:18 Paul was sent to open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God. Apostle Paul preached the truth to open the eyes of people. Here, people like I, teach the truth. If you have learned the truth and turn to light God will deliver you from the power of Satan and take you unto himself. This is salvation.

We have studied so many verses about how we can receive salvation. We must study and preach what Jesus Christ has done for the whole word. But we must know that our knowledge will not save us. We must also study and preach what Jesus Christ is telling us to do in order to be saved and we must do them and then only we will be saved. All other salvation are false. False preachers very cunningly preach not to obey Jesus Christ, calling our obedience to Jesus Christ as our own works and saying that we are not saved by our works. Those preachers are the servants of the devil. Let me quote 2 verses. Rom 5:21 as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. Rom 6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. If Jesus Christ is the Lord of your life, you will obey him, his grace will lead you, you will live righteously and with holiness. The end is everlasting life. This is the salvation of Jesus Christ. Are you saved? If not, will you obey the commandments of Jesus Christ? If you obey him, his grace will be upon you and you will be saved?

God Bless You
