Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, in One Spirit God.

"Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe (do) all things whatsoever I (Jesus Christ) have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. 2 Corinthians 7:1 ... dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God."

Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, in One Spirit God.

1. Most High God - God The Father

God the Father is the highest of the three persons in God and so he is referred as the most high God or as the highest God. This name explains his status, but not a name given. His New Testament name is 'God the Father'. This name explains a relationship, but not a given name. So, his name is "God" and that is it. Then, we can identify him by status or by relationship.

God has to beget a child in order to become a father. The Bible says that God has a begotten Son, who is Jesus Christ. But, when did God beget this Son? It appears to be that God begot his Son long before the birth of Jesus Christ because God was giving the already begotten Son to the world. "John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him ---." But this verse in the scriptures is talking about the resurrected Lord Jesus Christ and verse 14 talks about the cross of Jesus of Nazareth.

God the Father told God the Word and the Spirit of God what to do. God the Word became the man Jesus and died on the cross for the salvation of his people. The Holy Ghost raised Jesus from death and God the Father declared him as his begotten Son. So, Jesus Christ became the only begotten Son of God and by the same declaration the most high God became God the Father. "Hebrews 1.5 ---,Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee. And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son."

2. God the Word is the Lord Jesus Christ

God the Word existed from the very beginning. He was God Almighty, I Am that I Am, and God Jehovah. However, the name Almighty also apply to the most high God. Usually people think that the most high God is Jehovah. But the name Jehovah is attributed to God the Word. But Psalm 83:18 says "That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth." People misunderstand this verse and think that the most high God is Jehovah. The verse does not use the phrase 'most high' as a name, but as a statement that Jehovah is the highest person on the earth. He also had other functional and symbolic names throughout the Old Testament.

Then he became a man, born as a human child to a virgin mother. "Isaiah 7:14 the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son. John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us." God was made flesh. Why say flesh? Because God is a Spirit. "John 4:24 God is a Spirit:--" He ceased to be God, who is a Spirit. He emptied himself to become a mere man, who is of a sinful flesh. "Romans 8:3 God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh,..." Even though he was the same Person (Soul) who existed in God the Word, he emptied the power attributes and the Spirit and became flesh, which is a man. "Philippians 2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men." However, Christians continue to argue that Jesus lived as man and God at the same time. It is out of ignorance.

At his resurrection, he was declared begotten Son, Lord and Christ. So, now he is Lord Jesus Christ and begotten Son. God the Father and the Holy Ghost have anointed him as God at his ascension to heaven. So, he is God. The details about Lord Jesus Christ, when he was a man and when he is God, are in separate articles. You may click these links for the two articles if you are interested to study.

3. The Holy Ghost is God

God is a Spirit, who is omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient. This omni-power Spirit is the body of God, who holds the souls of God the Father, Lord Jesus Christ, and Holy Ghost. This Spirit is not the Holy Ghost. When a person repent of sins and asks God for help, God gives him a spirit, which is holy, like a candle light, which is also called as holy spirit. This spirit is not the Holy Ghost. This holy spirit is the spirit of man, who is the third part of man. But, Holy Ghost is one of the persons in God.

We must give high reverence to Holy Ghost as God since the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost will not be forgiven. "Matthew 12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men." Lying to the Holy Ghost was dealt with severely and Ananias & his wife were dead because of that according to Acts 5:3-10. But He is also the Spirit of Grace. Again whoever do not heed to the Spirit of Grace, sorer punishment will come upon them according to Hebrews 10:29. As Jesus Christ buys us with his blood, Holy Ghost comes and dwells in us to help us and to comfort according to 1 Corinthians 6:19 and John 14:16-17. But, if we if we ignore him and defile ourselves, he will destroy us as in 1 Corinthians 3:17. The Holy Ghost has inspired the scriptures as God according to 2 Timothy 3:16, Acts 1:16, 28:25, and 2 Peter 1:21. He took part in creation according to Genesis 1:2, Job 26:13, 33:4, Psalm 104:30, Luke 1:35 & Hebrews 10:5.

Lord Jesus Christ told the disciples to wait for the Holy Ghost before they go to the ministry as in Acts 1:4-8. Holy Ghost is the head of the church in the world and prepares the people for God as in Acts 20:28, John 16:13, Psalm 68:18, 1 Corinthians 12:4-13, Romans 8:1, 11&14. Holy Ghost perfects the church as in John 16:12-14 and Ephesians 4:11-14.

4. God is "One Spirit God"

Science establishes the fact that even an atom cannot be created from nothing. In this case, how did the world, sun, moon and stars come to existence? How did the living beings including the intelligent human beings come to existence? Whomever brought these into existence is the Creator and this Creator is God. He exists from the everlasting past. John 4:24 says God is a Spirit: According to Genesis 1:1, Deuteronomy 6:4, 1 Kings 8:60, Mark 12:32, John 4:24, 1 Corinthians 8:4, etc God is one. He is one Spirit that is Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent. He is the embodiment of all Powers. God is also Soul. So he is a person. This person, who is in the Spirit, who has the Omni-Powers with which the universe was created, is God. His soul is the cluster of three souls, and functions with the Spirit as one God.
