Salvation is an escape from hell. Hell is the place of punishment for our
sins that we did commit, unless they are forgiven. We
believe that nobody can stop committing sin. We also believe that we can escape the punishment
for committing sins as we commit, if we believe and ask Jesus Christ to
forgive our sins. And we think that Jesus Christ
will forgive us by his grace, since he is compassionate and a loving God. We
call this as our salvation. How do we keep our salvation? That is by believing in Jesus Christ. What is to believe? We must believe
that he died for us, he is our Lord, he
is our Savior, and so on. So, if we have faith in him, to believe all these
things,
Jesus Christ will take us to
heaven. But there is one problem. As t
In 2 Corinthians 12:9
Paul says, "he (Jesus) said unto me, My grace
is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. ...,
that the power of Christ may rest upon me." That is, Jesus
Christ will deliver us from our sins by his power, which is his grace. His grace
is not a free ticket
or an unmerited favor of God, but it is strength and power of Jesus Christ
that is given to us to make us strong. Common
belief is that all those who believe that Jesus died for them will receive
grace. But it is not so.
Jesus Christ saves his people from their sins by the power of his grace. "Matthew 1:21 says ... call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Then "Acts 3:26 says, ... God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities." Since Jesus Christ turns us away from our sins, we will not commit sins again. So, Romans 3:25 says that Jesus Christ "by his blood, declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past..." Since we will not sin anymore, Jesus Christ forgives all our previous sins that we have ever committed. At this point, we will have no sins at all, either past or present. Punishments are intended for sins. If no sins; no punishments. This is how we are saved.
Salvation is saving people from their sins, but it is not taking them to heaven. "Titus 2:14 says that Jesus, Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works." That is, Jesus Christ gave his life, to redeem his people from their sins and to purify them for himself. These people, as they are saved from sins, will be doing good works for the Lord. "Ephesians 2:10 says, For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." Good works, which God has already ordained, is to live a holy righteous life serving the Lord. "Titus 2:7 says, In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, 8 Sound speech, that cannot be condemned..." The servants of God preach the doctrine, the gospel of Jesus Christ, while they live a holy and righteous life.
Christians usually talk very highly of themselves as to how much they love Jesus, and how close they are to him, and how he answers their prayers and so on. But God knows what we are with him in our life. 2 Timothy 2:19 says, "... The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity." There is no room for bluff. If we want to serve God, we must depart from iniquity and teach others also to do so. God made his provision of grace available to all, but only the humble people will receive it. Now, with the provision of the grace of God, it is up to me to do my part, and up to you to do your part to inherit eternal life. It is either our life of righteousness or our life of iniquity, makes us either his sons or as his enemies. Sons will inherit his kingdom as joint heirs with Jesus Christ. His enemies will be punished with eternal damnation in hell and in the lake of fire forever. Most Christians heard about hell and lake of fire, but do not know about it. It is a place of punishment. Most Christians will go to there. God is the God of love. But Christians must not forget that God is God of wrath against those who do not obey his gospel. "2 Thessalonians 1:7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, 8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: 9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;" His GOSPEL is the covenant of good news, which is to obey his commandments for an inheritance in the eternal kingdom in heaven. So, obey the Lord Jesus Christ and inherit his kingdom.

Matthew 28:20, & Mark 16:15. Jesus Christ preached his commandments to obey, as his
Gospel; it is the true Gospel to inherit Eternal life. Genesis 3:1-4 & 2 Corinth 11:2-4. But Preachers, who are Serpents of Satan, preach the life of man Jesus just to believe, but not to live as a chaste virgin, as the gospel; it is another gospel, which cannot and will not give Eternal life. The true gospel will convert evil people to do good and thereby they will inherit the kingdom in heaven.
John 3:19-21 say that people are two kinds, evil and true. Evil doers will not come to the Light, who is God; but people of truth come to God for their deeds to be made manifest. We have good and evil people by our standard of our society or culture. These evil people may be converted to be doers of truth by the power of God, and they may inherit the kingdom of God in heaven.
