Preface
The end of last chapter: Sinning will bring eternal death, and those who live in righteousness will have eternal life. It will be by our Lord Jesus Christ. Let us see the last two verses in the previous chapter to help the continuation. "20&21. 20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: 21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord." This is also repetition of the previous verses. This refers to the laws of Moses. If there is not law, we can do anything we desire to do, and yet we have not done any offence. But if there is a rule not to walk fast, then walking fast is an offence. Mosaic law contains a lot of laws, and so they made a lot of offences, that is, sin abound. Grace is the power given by God to overcome sins. But preachers interpret grace as forgiveness and preach this verse "where sin abounded, grace did much more abound" as, 'the more you sin, the more God forgives', this turns out as an encouragement to commit more sin, and to keep committing sin. This is a teaching of Satan. Then the next verse says, if you sin, it is sure you will have eternal death, Unless, Jesus Christ as your Lord, reign you, that is rule you by grace, and with your righteous life as the proof. Again, the result of all this is; sinning will bring eternal death, and those who live in righteousness will have eternal life, and the righteousness should reign in life, and it will be by the Lord Jesus Christ. Apostle Paul addresses the twist of preachers that existed even in his time.
"Romans 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?" Preachers say that grace is free favor from God to sinning people for them to go to heaven. So, Christians like to get this favor more and more abundantly from God, and so they sin more and more. By doing so, they profit in the wild lustful word; they enjoy the lust of the world, and go to heaven also by the free grace from God. But, grace is the power of God that is given to people to fight against sin and to overcome sins. And the requirement to receive grace is not to sin more and more, but they must humble themselves. Proud people do not want to humble, instead they commit more sins, thinking that God will give them more grace. Preachers also teach this logic. So, apostle Paul is trying to correct them from this error. Grace will destroy and mortify sins, and more sins will not bring more grace.
"2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?" Here we see two phrases that are opposites. They are 'dead to sin' and 'live anylonger in sin.' If a person is dead to sin, he cannot be living in sin. A dead man cannot be living, either it is to sin or to anything; dead is not living, this is a simple truth; that is all this verse says and emphasize. Christians do not know this simple truth. Saved is saved from their sins: It is in Matthew 1:21 ... "thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins." Christians say they are saved while they live in sin.
"3
Know ye not, that so many of us as were
baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?" Here, baptism
is not just a ceremony in itself, but it is as we are married with Jesus, and
when he is dead, we died with him, and thereby we have united with him as one
person. Again, so many that are baptized are as we have
joined with him as one unit family in our life. So also, as he dies, we should also
be dead to our fleshly life of sin.
"4&5. 4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life." Baptism is a ceremony that indicates death and burial. And also, it is the ceremony of resurrection, as Christ was resurrected. If it comes real in life, the proof is that we will live a new life as similar to the life of Jesus Christ, then it is for the glory of God the Father. "5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:" It is just double down on the previous verse, that we should live in the newness, which is Spirit life, but not in the flesh life of sin. This proof is glory to God the Father.
"6&7. 6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. 7 For he that is dead is freed from sin." Our man is our previous life, it was with sin, and that is is no more alive. Christians say the slogan, but they do not live the life, so they are sinners and liars. It is a sad reality. So, if you are dead with Christ, you are free from sin, with the proof that you will not sin.
"8-10. 8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:" This is again repetition, to double down the point. "9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him." If we live the resurrected Spirit, death, sin, and the devil will have no more power over us, and we will not fall. But fakers and show people will fall, and they will stay fall. "10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God." If a person is dead in Christ, he is dead to sin. So, this person will not sin. But if any one is sinning, and says that he is dead in Christ, he is just using an empty lying statement, and he has not died in Christ.
"11-13. 11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. 12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof." So, check and verify yourself, whether if you have proof to what you say. It is very simple. If you are yet sinning, you have not yet died in Christ. It is the truth. Most preachers are opposite to verify and to prove. They are of the devil. They use the words like faith, trust, hope, and such to deceive you. But, with God, we must have proof, that is, we must verify it with our works. "13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God." You purposely and consciously do the works righteousness and be of God.
"14&15. 14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace." Grace and sin are opposites, but not co-existing comrades. This verse mentions this, and also gives another name to sin, the which most Christians do not understand, since false preachers repeatedly preach error. Here the synonym to sin is law; and how the law could be sin? God became the Man Jesus, removed the old covenant, and established the new. So, the old is void, and so the laws given to the Jews by Moses, including circumcision, ceremonies, rituals, and such are all void.
They are in Colossians 2:14, & Hebrews 10:8&9. So, we must not continue in it as the rebellious religious people. Further if we are not Jews, we have nothing to do with these laws at all. So, if we are under the law, then we are in sin; caution is that these are Old testament laws. But false teachers preach that the laws here are the commandments of God and Jesus Christ, and if we obey them that is sin. But this is stupid perversion; yet sin loving Christians follow such teachings. "15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid." I think again that this verse is repetition. We are not under the old testament laws, mostly of Mosaic laws. But we are under the commands of the Lord Jesus Christ. This is also the gospel that we must obey. It is in Matthew 28:18-20, & Mark 16:15&16. If we have grace, it will establish us in the commands of Christ.
"16
Know ye not,
that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom
ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?"
To whomsoever
you obey, his servant you are; it is either to sin, or to righteousness; it is
to eternal death or life.
"17&18. 17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. 18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness." Paul is not writing this portion to entire Romans; neither God is writing this to whomsoever reads this passage; but it is to a hypothetical group. They were sinning before, but now at present they are obeying the doctrine of Jesus Christ, and so, Jesus Christ made them free from sin, and so, they do not sin anymore. The proof is that they live in the righteousness of God; we can say they are righteous people, But very sadly Christians say that they are saved while they are yet living in sin.
"19
I speak after
the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded
your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now
yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness."
Paul repeats the same thing to those who were yet living in sin saying, that
they were living in sin by the nature of the flesh, and in the same way, as they
have received the Spirit, from now to have the nature of the Spirit, and to live
in righteousness. And if they continue to live live in righteousness with the same intensity
as they were living in sin, they will become holy, and will keep on climbing into the heavenliest day by
day.
"20 For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. 21 What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death." Let us call a spade as spade. In present day Christianity, we call sinning people as saved, and we call those who did overcome sins as lost, since they did works; what works they did; they obeyed the commands of God. God says that when they were committing sins, they were servants of the devil, and now they are ashamed of their past sins. Despite if they live in sin, they will face eternal death.
"22
But now being
made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto
holiness, and the end everlasting life."
Thank God, they are made free from sin, that is, they do not have the instinct
to sin anymore. So, now they serve God by living in righteousness. However, God
asks us to yield fruits, that is to live in righteousness of God. Then we will
become holy, and will inherit the kingdom of God in heaven.
If we do not give fruits of holiness, then it is proof that we are not yet freed from
sins. Our end will not be everlasting life. So, le us examine ourself whether we
give fruit of holiness or of sin; since it will cause us to inherit either heaven,
or hell. What we say not the proof; so, prove it by our works that is in life.
"23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." This verse is very often used by most preachers, and they are used by the devil. They use this verse as, it is not connected with previous verses. They say that we must receive eternal death for living in sin. But, God will give us eternal life as a gift, for living in sin, and that is through Jesus Christ our Lord. By this statement, we will prove that God is unrighteous, dishonest, and so on, because his judgment is warped and unrighteous. But it is very slick, and Christians are not noticing their deceit.

Matthew 28:20, & Mark 16:15. Jesus Christ preached his commandments to obey, as his
Gospel; it is the true Gospel to inherit Eternal life. Genesis 3:1-4 & 2 Corinth 11:2-4. But Preachers, who are Serpents of Satan, preach the life of man Jesus just to believe, but not to live as a chaste virgin, as the gospel; it is another gospel, which cannot and will not give Eternal life. The true gospel will convert evil people to do good and thereby they will inherit the kingdom in heaven.
John 3:19-21 say that people are two kinds, evil and true. Evil doers will not come to the Light, who is God; but people of truth come to God for their deeds to be made manifest. We have good and evil people by our standard of our society or culture. These evil people may be converted to be doers of truth by the power of God, and they may inherit the kingdom of God in heaven.
