Spiritual Truth Epistles Study: 2nd Epistle of Peter.

Here is an account of apostle Peter. ["Matthew 16:15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? 16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. 17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. 18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."] Peter's name was Simon Barjona, and Jesus named him as Peter, and the meaning of Peter is rock. Preachers add with it that it is little rock, and Jesus was big rock and such to confuse things; but he was named rock. Jesus says in verse "19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." If you have read this verse; it is simple enough to understand. Bible teachers despise Peter because Satan never liked what Jesus has done, and Satan always liked such a position. But now it was given to an ordinary, common, working man, who was Simon Barjona; and now he is Peter. Jesus Christ named him so, even though preachers do not like the meaning. Jesus Christ appointed Peter to establish the Spirit Church, which is the body of Christ, to function in the middle of the world church. Even though Peter was given such a high Spiritual status, he never threw his weights around, and he behaved as a servant of all. He was Peter.
