Declaration

The one and only Omnipotent Spirit is God. He has three persons (souls) in him. They are "the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost." In the Old Testament, they are "the Most High, the Word, and the Spirit of God." When the Bible mentions "the Spirit of God", it refers to either "the Holy Spirit", "the Holy Ghost", or "the Omnipotent Spirit", since they are all of God.

Praise the Lord, Alleluia. Today we will look at the declaration of faith- item 2, that is, God is three persons in one omnipotent Spirit. That is, God is ‘Three in One’. The persons are "the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost." In the Old Testament, their names were, "the Most High, the Word, and the Spirit of God." However, when the Bible says, "the Spirit of God", it may refer to either "the Holy Spirit", "the Holy Ghost", or "the Omnipotent Spirit." They are all of God.

Who is our God?

First, let us see who God is. I am from India. Hindus have many Gods. Their definition for God is; whoever has power over them is God. So, they have plenty of gods, but none of them are (truly God) real. We Christians say that Jesus Christ is God. Why is he God? Is it because he died for us? It is a popular definition. Let us put it to test. So many soldiers fought the war for the country and have died. We may say that they died for us. Are they our gods because they died for us? No. So, this is not a valid definition to be God.

Let us look into the bible to find a definition. Genesis 1:1 says "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." Here, we have two points to the definition for God. One is, in the beginning he existed. The second is, he created the heaven and the earth. So, If someone did exist in the beginning, and if he has created the heaven and earth, he is God. Verse 2 says. "And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters." Here, the Spirit of God was existing in the beginning, and he was doing something in the process of the creation. So, he fits in the two condition for God. So, the Spirit of God is also God. So, God is God and the Spirit of God also is God. We have two gods now. Let me read John 1:1. It says, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. It openly says that the Word was God and he existed in the beginning. Verse 3 says, "All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made." That is, he has created the heaven and earth. The verses say that the Word is God, and it also confirms the definition for God. So, now we have three Gods. God is God, the Spirit of God is God, and now the Word is God. Let us see, if we can find the name of the first God. Let us read Genesis 1:3. It says, "And God said, Let there be light: and there was light." Here, God gives an order to bring light into existence and there was light, that is, some other God created the light. Let me read verses 6&7. 6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. 7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. In verse the first God commanded and in verse 7 some other God created it. This same thing continues until the completion of all creation. One God was commanding, the other Gods were doing. And, this God in command, is referred as the Most High God in the Old testament more than forty times, and in the New testament a few times. So, the names of the three Gods in the Old Testament are the Most High God, God the Word, and the Spirit of God.

Who are "the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost"?

Let us see what their names in the New Testament are. The last portion of Ephesians 3:9 says, "… God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:" In Genesis God told to create and another God created them. We just saw in John 1:3 that God the word did create them. In this verse we see that Jesus Christ created them. So, God the Word in the old Testament is Jesus Christ in the New Testament. Let us see Mark 5:7. It says in the verse, "… Jesus, thou Son of the most high God" The devil calls Jesus as the Son of the most high God. It makes the Most High God as the Father and Jesus as his Son. So, the Most High God is God the Father, and Jesus Christ is God the Son. Let us see who the Spirit of God is. Let us look at two scriptures. Matthew 3:16. “16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him.” It is the incident of the baptism of Jesus Christ. The person who descended was the Spirit of God. Let us see the same incident in Luke 3:21&22. “21 … Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened, 22 And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and ….” Here we see that the person who descended was the Holy Ghost. So, the Spirit of God in the Old Testament is the Holy Ghost in the New Testament. So, the three persons, the Most High, the Word, and the Spirit of God, in the Old Testament are "the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost" in the New Testament. It seems like that we solved the problem. No, we just created it. Do we have three Gods in Christianity? No. Then, how many Gods do we have?

Three Persons in One Omnipotent Spirit God

Now let us read Ephesians 3:9 one more time. "9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, …" We are studying the things from the beginning. Now we have three Gods. But this verse says that it is not three, but it is one fellowship of the mystery. This fellowship is a team that is One, and they are hid in God. That is, these three God persons are united as one and hid in another God. Who is this God? "John 4:24 says God is a Spirit: Mark 12:32 --- Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he."  and "Revelation 19:6 says Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth." So, God is one Spirit, and this only Spirit is omnipotent. The three persons of God are hidden in this Omni-power Spirit God. So, for a truth there is One God and inside this One God there are three Gods. The bible says that God has soul. The soul is a person. The soul is hidden inside the body. Now we see that there are three God persons hid inside one omnipotent Spirit. By the above information, we may say that this Omni-power Spirit is the body, and the other three God persons are as souls knitted together in secret fellowship in the body. The souls have the attribute of character and so, God is righteous and holy. The body is omni-potent and can do and create all things and anything. So, if we are looking for the power and might of God, God is one omnipotent Spirit. If we are looking for righteousness and holiness, or such things, God is three soul persons. So, God is three persons in one Spirit. When I understood this truth of three persons nested in one Omnipotent Spirit, it was hard for me to grasp it fully. So, I prayed to God very earnestly. In my struggle, I think that God gave me an example and then I understood it perfectly. Let me share the example with you also. I hope and pray that God may help you also to understand it perfectly. God is three persons in one Spirit.

Example of the Three in One

We have one body, but it has three important parts doing three different functions. 1. Brain and Nerves. Brain connects the entire body through the nerves. 2. Muscles and Bones. Bones holds the muscles in place. Muscles spread through the entire body. 3. Heart and Blood. Heart is connected to the entire body through blood vessels. Arteries and veins spread throughout the entire body. So, these are the three main parts. All join together as one, and we call them as one body. They join united as one, it is a mystery fellowship. We know that they are three, but we cannot separate them. But, the three have different functions, but they co-ordinate or synchronize their work and do it in unison. Brain gives commands through nerves, to tell muscles what to do. Bone and muscles do everything what the brain tells to do. The heart pumps blood to supply the required energy to the muscles to do the work. The job is done. Who did it? The body did it. Nobody says that the heart did it, or the muscle did it, or the brain did it, but we say that the body did it.

In the same way, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost, are united or intertwined together as one, in the omnipotent Spirit body, that is God. As the brain tells the body what to do, God the Father tells God the Son what to do. As the muscle does the work, God the Son does the work. As the heart supplies the required blood or energy, the Holy Ghost supply the required power to do the work. The three persons together are one body, in the one and only omnipotent Spirit. The three Soul persons are in mystery fellowship as one, hid in the one omnipotent Spirit body. So, God is omnipotent Spirit, he can do all things. God is "Three in One."

Three Spirits of God

I have included one more point just to avoid certain confusion. Three Spirits are referred as "the Spirit of God" in the Bible. We will know which one it is, in its context. They are, (1) The one and only omnipotent Spirit, who is God. (2) The Holy Ghost, who is one of the three persons in God. And (3) The Holy Spirit, which God gives to repented sinners, as gift to lead them in holy life. And the holy spirit also is called as the spirit of man since God gives this spirit to man.

Thank you very much for listening. God bless you. May his presence go with you. Amen.

Looking for the true gospel? This site has the true gospel!

What is the true gospel and what are false gospels?

Matthew 28:20, & Mark 16:15. Jesus Christ preached his commandments to obey, as his Gospel; it is the true Gospel to inherit Eternal life. Genesis 3:1-4 & 2 Corinth 11:2-4. But Preachers, who are Serpents of Satan, preach the life of man Jesus just to believe, but not to live as a chaste virgin, as the gospel; it is another gospel, which cannot and will not give Eternal life.

What will the true Gospel do?

The true gospel will convert evil people to do good and thereby they will inherit the kingdom in heaven. John 3:19-21 say that people are two kinds, evil and true. Evil doers will not come to the Light, who is God; but people of truth come to God for their deeds to be made manifest. We have good and evil people by our standard of our society or culture. These evil people may be converted to be doers of truth by the power of God, and they may inherit the kingdom of God in heaven.
